I don't think I have any non-nerd friends, and like 80% of the female ones are yaoi fans. Some because I introduced them to it.

Actually, I don't hide it but it was actually common knowledge within my friends. I was actually also the only one who is crazy about anime, so I can't connect with them about it so much. But they accept it and understand me, they just smile and wait as my fangirl mode is over and then move on with the latest gossip about our classmates....

Two women down the hall in my dorm love yaoi as well, so I'm in good company. We're actually planning on throwing a small party where we check out a plethora of yaoi from the library and invite anybody interested in coming.
