The art of Anime

I have long admired the artwork of various anime/manga collections. At my old town, I was good friends with these twin girls who could draw characters that looked so similar to the real thing!! I had always wanted to be as good as them. Is there any advice anyone can give me that will get me there?

yeah its not to hard.... wat i did was i started by copying anime pics that i liked.... then after i got pretty good i statred practicing specific parts like eyes, noses, heads, hands, ect. adn after a while i ended up getting pretty good at it xD i mean take a look at my submission on the arena xD
