There's nothing like an enchanting poem of the night. This poem is influenced by my grandfather's house up north Wisconsin and what it is like in the night.
I lie upon my back,
The grass cushioning me
As I look up at the sky—
Clear for as far as the eye can see.
The deep blue beautifully painted,
Surrounds the moon, shining bright.
How beautiful are the stars,
Hidden in the cities of light.
I am enraptured by it all;
The moonlight dances around me
And the crickets sing along
To the night’s charming melody.
As the rest of the world sleeps,
I watch the beauty of the night
And listen to it’s sweet lullabies;
I am lost in loveliness tonight.
