I'll post two per post, I have quite a few, some good, some not so good...
the second one here was written last year when I felt I was in love with my best friend who is currently in a relationship that's going on 3 years now.

Journey Towards Heaven
A single trail winds through a dense forest. The trail fades and my clothes snag on the over-hanging limbs, but still I trudge on. My goal, the meadow i know to be at the end of this trail, shining brightly with the rays of the sun. The journey is hard and the the trail is rough, but if I persevere, the reward is eternal and wonderful.

Loss of Love
Sitting in the crowd, I watch them. They stand at the altar, staring at each other, a picture of perfection. She looked beautiful in her plain yet elegant white bridal dress, a simple blue sapphire necklace adorning her neck accentuating the deep blue eyes I know and love. We've known each other for years and despite chance feuds and arguments, we love each other just the same. He was looking handsome, a typical black and white tux covering what i knew, thanks to her, to be a fit and muscular body. I hear them say their vows, "Til death do us part." they say, and then I see them kiss and I know, They will fulfill those vows. A single tear escapes my eye for though she loved me as a brother, I loved her as a woman, but now... Despite my own despair, I am happy for them Because he is good to her and makes her happy the way I never could. And as the congregation gets up to leave, I pray to God that i can move on and find another woman that makes me as happy as she did.

Save the Sinners
His unworthy eyes gazed upon her flesh. She lay in her bed blissfully unaware. His wife no longer contented him so he spent every night secretly here, at this girl's window admiring her. Little did he know, his adulterous acts would land him amongst the demons and fires of Hell.
Everyday she went through life, a mere shell of who she once was. The make-up, a mask, to cover the wounds; the smiles, a mask, to cover the hurt. Every night, he beat her, the one who claimed to love her. He did not know the fate he was leading himself to after this life was through.
The woman on the street corner, disgusted with herself, but still selling herself, letting herself be defiled by the lecherous. She cries for a way out, her body to be cleansed.
He sits in his room, a boy of mere thirteen, distressed and angered by the world. The revolver sits in his hand, one squeeze and it's over; the pain, the loss, the shame. Just one quick squeeze...
God, the Father, can save them all. He loves them, though they do not know Him. Lost souls in a lost world crying out for help. We must help them, our fellow brothers and sisters, save them from a life meant for the damned.

Rainy Day
She and I sat on the front porch, the gray clouds above us, ominous. But we both knew what would pour forth from them. Rain, the entire beauty of nature amassed into a single element. The first droplets started to fall bringing life to our faces. Our smiles began to show. It began to pour, the rhythm and beats picking up tempo as though a fierce battle were approaching. This is what we lived for, her and I. This was our lives, our romance, our beauty, all gathered into a single beautiful piece of nature. We got up and, with hands clasped together and fingers entwined, we ran into the torrents. Thunder boomed and lightening flashed, but it did not matter for this is what we loved and how we showed our love to each other. We laughed, we danced, we kissed, we stood under the rain wishing it would never end...but eventually it must.
Darkness clouded my vision....
I woke up, the dream so vivid in my mind. Then I remembered, she was gone. Life must surely end sometime just as the rain can not go on forever.

Song of Escape
The four bedroom walls surrounded her, their cold gaze upon her. She shut out the world around her and the box she sat in did not distress her. She sat on the bed, instrument of release in hand. The wood of the violin sat cold in her palm, the bow just as cool. The strings ran hot, however, as she played her emotions. Each note, bow across string, filled her ears, cut her heart. Tonight she spoke of sadness in the universal language. The sounds brought tears to her eyes, the feelings that arose within her causing them to fall. This piece of wood, metal and string was her only escape. escape from a world that brought her sadness and pain. but there was always happiness to be found so until then, she played. The notes were beautiful and after her song was done, no other would satisfy me.

The Broken Road
Follow the broken road, my son; let it lead you where it will. Time does not exist along this lane of asphalt; only you, the blackness beneath your feet, and the world surrounding you. I do not know where this road will lead, nor where it will end, for that is up to you. Just keep walking, no car will pass to hitch from; you are alone here. Others may have roads that intertwine with yours but they can not venture on to your own road. You may trip and fall, stumble over the cracks, but simply pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and venture onward. For the end shall come some time and the final view will be Glorious.
