I wrote this poem one morning when I woke up and felt nothing but my blood pulsing through me and the rhythm of life outside, It's called Morning GlimpsesPlease send me a message if you wish to tell me what you think of my writing here. My Gaia name is Amiraunhuman_mem.
I envy the moments in life when you can forget
When you clear your memory of all the stained and impure experiences you've had
When nothing but the fact that you're alive is important
It seems those times when we can lapse in our remembrance don't come enough
When we can drop the standards we are forced or feel like we need to implement
and just be,
to just exist a little while
letting nothing from the outside world of war, hatred and brokeness touch us
In the morning I begin to wake
Catching a streak of blazing gold sunshine softened by my white walls,
And for a brief period of time, I case to remember my limitations and problems,
I feel hope for the day to come,
For an instant I get a glimpse of all my possibilities.
