Waiting

[ash-nite]

as the world moves,
I stand still
As the cities change
I wont budge

When the darkness falls
Here I am
As it starts to rain
I'm still here

The gail's blowing
With me outside
The leaves are changing
While I watch

Waiting for you
to come
sweep me off the street
Give me a home

I really like this. It's reads rather jarringly (if that makes much sense), it doesn't have the usual type of flow for poetry, but it really does work well for it.
