Let's put the speakers in the window... Cause I wanna look like this:
(My waist doesn't go in as far, so I'm not curvy. :/ Think human draft horse; blocky and sturdy. But she's the closest to my body type that I know of.)
I mean, look at her stomach. Why the hell am I denying myself that? I should be able to wear my jeans without trying to figure out how I'm going to hide my overlaping fat. I want to wear tank tops and backless tops without worrying about my fat pockets. I want to wear formfitting tops and not look gross! gonk I need to figure out a way to motivate myself and STAY motivated. I've tried the "new hot body" motivation and the "cute new clothes" motivation, but they just don't work on me. And I don't have a workout buddy because my sister and I have different, busy schedules. So i'm stuck to working out with DVD's. emo You guys have any tips for a stubborn mule? gonk We'll go on the roof and listen to the music echo to the alley down below.

Wow that's lady's body is amazing! eek
I know how you feel. At the beginning you are all pumped and ready to lose weight and really believe that you are going to do this. Then after awhile it is hard to stay motivated.
I have a lot of problems staying motivated, too.
My mom has lost a lot of weight and she likes to read Motivational quotes. It really helps her.
I also read somewhere that if you keep reviewing your goals everyday and remind yourself why you are doing this. Or maybe write in a Journal of some sort about your goals and how you are feel about it.
Also, you could perhaps find a person that is also losing weight that you could share your weight loss journey and goals with. Try to motivate each other and congratulate each other. Even simple messages like "Good job!" or "I know you can do it!" can boost anyone's motivation because you feel like you are being rewarded.
Well, that is all I can think of. I am sure you'll eventually find some way to stay motivated. smile

Let's put the speakers in the window... I think staying on track work out wise would be easier if I had a treadmill. Alas, I haven't a space for one. I've a Jillian Michaels DVD ( totally kickbutt ASDF) though. It's just 1) I'm so tired after work 2) I have to figure out when I can fit in a workout. I catch the bus, so -2 hours out of my day. 3) If I don't see/feel results anymore, I just give up. We'll go on the roof and listen to the music echo to the alley down below.

You should pick someone that's not on a magazine cover.
The first thing I did today was go for a short jog/walk. It was easy and it felt good, then again the sun was shining and the birds were singing. I'm sure I might feel different if it's raining. But my point remains the same. Before shower and before interwebs, perhaps some kind of exercise should be the first thing on your mind?

Think about it this way;
people who model for magazines get paid. So technically, they are making a living off of having a great body. It is their JOB to be fit. Think of it this way, imagine your 8 hour workday being switched for an 8 hour work-out day, this is WHY models on magazines have great bodies, it is their livelihood.
(They are also retouched and airbrushed.)

I don't want to look exactly like her, I want to have an awesome body. I posted her picture because I felt inspired by it. We'll go on the roof and listen to the music echo to the alley down below.

Here's what I do to stay motivated: A. Print of a picture (or a couple) and I have them taped around my room. I have one dead in the middle of my mirror so I have to see it. B. I am getting a belly button piercing in October so that's a motivator in itself. I keep thinking, "Do you want some random possibly hot guy to see your fat roll?" The answer is no. :] C. I bought a couple pairs of clothes that are a few sizes smaller than I am now. They are also hanging on my wall tempting me to put them on. Every few weeks I'll try something on and see if it fits. It keeps me going. o.o D. My dog is my motivator. :] He is my baby so I want the best for him. I always think that if I weighed less, I'd be able to walk him around more. Or take him for a jog or something. E. If all else fails, look at someone heavier than you and ask yourself, "Do I want to look like that?" It sounds mean, but it works. I've done it. D:
