So I've been toying around with the idea of making my own craftworld with coloration based on the San Jose Sharks uniforms. I'm a huge fan of the team, have been for a while, and I just want to make my army look cool.
For most models, I'm hoping for the base paint to be black with a teal coat over the chest, shoulders, and arms. Orange elbow pads and knee pads with white lower legs.
For my aspect warriors, I'm considering buying packs of Space Marines shoulder pads and converting them to fit on the off-hand shoulders. These pads will have the craftworld's colors emblazoned.
For Wraithguard and Wraithlords, probably going to keep the heads white with mostly teal and black bodies (more than likely like above). Probably going to use a Wraithsword and a pair of catapults and Starcannon on my first Lord and a different set on my second.
Spirit stones will mostly all be red. It really seems to compliment the teal. Not sure what shade, but probably a darker one.
In the case of vehicles, I'm going to be going with a picture of sharks emblazoned on the sides. Again, they'll be mostly teal with a base of black and white and orange highlights.
So far, what do you guys think? Any suggestions as to how to put the shark look on a Fire Prism or War Walker?

In general, Aspect Warriors don't change their armor for the sheer reason that they are a hyper-zealous cult of Khaine and therefore they respect the ancient designs of armor.
As to coloration, why not put the orange on the spirit stones and eyes of helmets?

The Marine shoulders + Eldars = bad idea to be honest... D:
Otherwise it sounds like a nice idea, and I have no suggestions really... All I can do is add plates and rivets to stuff and paint them bl00! mrgreen

I'm also having troubles deciding which era of Sharks Jersey the base for the armor should be. I'm definitely considering the Old or New Away colors.
In Eldar terms, if I choose Old Away, they get gray sleeves, a lighter teal chest armor, black spirit stones, and white eyes. While I don't exactly like the idea of white eyes, the rest sounds pretty good.
If I choose New Away, they get white sleeves, dark teal chest, orange spirit stones, and orange eyes. This one uses a lot of white. That's the problem...it seems just a little bland.
Both sound good, so I'm considering making a hybrid, painting the arms gray, the chest a dark teal (obviously), and the eyes and spirit stones orange.
In the case of my Wraithlord, this will probably mean a teal chest and arms, white head, orange stones, black markings, and gray joints. Wraithguard will probably get the same treatment.
Can you guys suggest a possible theme for the vehicles?
Oh...and the Craftworld is going to be named Ne'Halla. I'm hoping to make use of a boatload of units who have the Furious Charge special rule or simply Jetbikes because we'll be focusing on speed.
Aspect Warriors will likely be Howling Banshees (with teal or orange eyes and stones), Swooping Hawks (with orange eyes and stones), Warp Spiders (with orange eyes and stones), and Shining Spears (again with orange or teal eyes and stones).
The Harlequins that may or may not be accompanying the army will use teal and orange-checkered patterns on most cloth. The only exception is the Death Jester, whose coat must be black (because it looks sick). Troop Master will have a teal mohawk most likely and Death Jester will have orange and teal in the places where it's applicable.
Next Friday (the day after my birthday), I'm going to make my first purchase of the base army with the help of a few allies (dark eldar, necron, and tyranid players oddly enough). Assembly won't take too long hopefully. And again hopefully, I'll be able to have a few painted by the Monday after that.
I hope you guys understand...
