Conficker Virus

So I just heard of this virus (yeah, I'm super quick about these things) called the Conficker virus. Supposedly it's infected over nine million computers with Windows installed and will activate tonight at midnight. Nobody knows exactly what it will do, but it's been sitting in around since October 2008 and nobody can get rid of it because it gets instructions from around 50,000 different semi-randomly generated websites. You can remove it from your computer, but efforts to get rid of it entirely from the net are not working so well. I also heard that there's a 250,000 dollar bounty for whoever created the virus, so obviously it's taken extremely seriously. This is all I know about it. Some of you (CaptainBaconMan) probably know more. I'm excited, personally. What do you think will happen at midnight tonight? Y2K? Armageddon? Resurrection of Internet Jesus?

You know what? I bet it was the guy from the Mac commercials. Only he would be so evil as to infect only Windows computers.

Yeah, as I assumed, it was an April Fools joke. The virus has been around for a while, and has trashed computers. It's already active, and has pretty much been destroyed.

Damn. I even did a search on it to make sure it wasn't just a hoax. At least there was some truth to it I guess. I'm not really relieved though. Just disappointed. I wish there was some super virus that was created by some super genius and did some super thing.
