...just makes me want to eat MORE!

Unless I skip breakfast and have a late lunch, I want to eat everything in sight. I guess it's because if I don't eat my metabolism is still asleep, but still. That's wayyy unhealthy.
I eat lots of fiber and drink lots of water but I still give in to temptation! I need to cut it out or I won't reach my goals in time at all!

Does anyone else have this problem? What have you found to work?

I don't really have a problem eating in the day, my problem is eating at night. I've resolved to go to bed earlier and to start doing all my homework when I get home as well as start to draw again.

I keep busy. That's the best way I've ever found to keep myself from eating too much. Or I watch the weight shows they have on TV, like Last 10 pounds, bulging brides, or X weighted, (The biggest loser just keeps getting more annoying)

And then if I'm busy, the idea of taking a break to cook something once my stomach tells me I'm hungry I make something healthy and that's fun to cook.

I have that problem too. I think it's because on days when I just eat when I feel hungry I don't think about food. However, on those days I can go a whole day with only eating one thing and that's bad bad bad.

I think the problem is on days where I'm trying to control my eating and eat proper meals I'm thinking constantly about food in an attempt to eat at the proper times.

I kinda think it'll go away after I just get used to eating at the right times.

uuummmm. Honestly, I find the best thing for me was to have a HUGE breakfast. Then I'd start my day off full. Lately though I've been horrible and I'm scared I'm gona gain weight after managing to keep it off for so long. I go to bed late, as a result from taking night classes and working late. I sleep in, and have breakfast often an hour or two before noon. I start work right after. My work gives the bare minimum for breaks. After 5 and a half hours of working I get a half hour break (not paid) less than that I get a 10 minute. So I often eat "lunch" no earlier than 3, usually like 5. So when I get home I'm not hungry and my family has eaten anyway. I either go to sleep after eating only 2 meals, or I eat right before bed. Not really sure which is worse...

Try eating snacks that will fill you up and have little calories.

I like to snack on stuff like popcorn, jello, fruit, vegetables. There's a lot of "light" snacks out there that can save you the calories. sweatdrop

GUM
I CONSTANTLY have some gum in my pockets and when I feel like eating...GUM. Its like no calories and you wont be able to eat anything for an hour.

People have linked hunger in the day to not eating breakfast; and if you eat really healthy for your first meal, studies show you're almost guaranteed to carry on the good habit through the day.

Plus it snaps your metabolism awake.

Every single week at the grocery store, grab a couple of pints of grape tomatoes or cherry tomatoes -- you know, the little teeny ones. Snack on those. Or buy a cucumber, wash and slice it right when you get home, and divide it into snack boxes/baggies; do the same with carrots, radishes, celery, or lettuce. Get a bunch of grapes, wash them, and put them into snack boxes/baggies.

Consider those your treats, your candies. If you want to eat something in between meals, grab for those first.
