/Tournament Policy

/GAME RECORDS
Both duellists are required to keep a recod of the duel incase of a conflict of oppinion regarding the duel.

/PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Know and follow the most current and applicable TCG rules.
  • Follow instructions of any crew or tournament official.
  • Act in a sporting and respectful manner at all times.
  • Clearly communicate each move that they make during game play.
  • Notify an opponent if he or she fails to follow any game rules or incorrectly tracks game score or life totals during a match, regardless of whom the error benefits.
  • Avoid swearing or using inappropriate language or gestures.
  • Avoid making offensive comments to any player or official.
  • Avoid insulting opponents or opponents’ strategies and play skills.

/DETERMINING WHO PLAYS FIRST
Before the start of the first game in a match, a random method is used to determine who chooses which player plays first. In a best-of-three match, the player who lost the previous game decides who will play first in the next game. If the previous game was a draw, the player who chose in the previous game decides who will play first in the next game. If a player is issued a game loss prior to the first game in a match, that player chooses who plays first in the next game.
Players that do not explicitly choose which player plays first, prior to drawing their hand, are assumed to have chosen themselves to play first.

/GAME CONSESSIONS
Players may concede a game or match at any time, provided that the concession does not involve compensation in exchange for the concession. Players may not offer their opponents any type of compensation or bribe in exchange for a concession.

/OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE
Players are not allowed to give or receive assistance from anyone not directly involved in the game. This includes advice or hints from other players or spectators who are not involved with the game. This also includes notes written prior to the match, either by the player or someone else.
Judges can be directly involved in the game, and may answer rules questions, but they should avoid answering questions about in-game decisions that would give the player direct advice about the current game.

/TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
The structure, methods and any other variables in the tournament that were announced before the tournament cannot be changed or removed once the tournament has begun. Prizes cannot be changed or removed but prizes may be added before the finals.

/LEGAL SETS & PROMOTIONAL CARDS
Sets and cards are legal for play once they have been released in the TCG.

/MAIN AND SIDE DECKS
Duellists must have decks containing no less than 40 and no more than 60 cards. Duellists may have a side deck of exactly 15 cards they can substitute with cards in their main deck during their second and third duels in a match, aslong as the side deck alway's consists of exactly 15 cards.

/GRAVEYARD
A player is not allowed to shuffle or alter the order of his or her Graveyard in any way. A player’s Graveyard is public information, except in specific cases when a card effect (such as “Question”) prohibits a player from viewing the opponent’s Graveyard.

/SEARCH EFFECTS
If a game effect instructs a player to retrieve a card from the Graveyard or search for a card in his or her Deck with specific parameters regarding which card that player may select (based on Level, card type, ATK/DEF, and so on), that player is required to reveal the card for which he or she searched to the opponent. Whenever a player reveals a card, he or she must show the entire card face to the opponent. If a player searches his or her Deck, he or she must shuffle it afterward.

/GAME LOOPS
In the event that a game enters a loop, the player controlling the loop must demonstrate it once. That player then chooses a number, and unless the opponent wants to stop the loop at any time to play something in the middle, the loop goes through the chosen number of cycles.

/MATCHES
In all tournaments a match is won by the first person to win 2 duels. There is no limit to the amount of duels that takes place in a match.
