Much like hunting and gathering societies. They work far less than we do, interestingly enough. Western society is much too big for something like that to work. Besides, how could you use time to get what you want? How can you exchange time for a new car or dinner on the table (aside from making dinner, obviously)?

A novel idea would be capatilism. Regulation is needed to a degree but things got bad back with Woodrow Wilson and more so with FDR who prolonged the depression by many of his facisist/communist ideas. During that time people where thrown in jail for under cutting people on price. Companies went out of buisness because of increased taxes and along with many other issues. The welfare state took hold and instead of letting the market correct itself we tried to blunt the trauma. The same thing happened with Carter and then every president since has been proping things up and every time a bubble burst and puts people in a panic but rather than take it on the chin we put it off another decade and so and and so on. Eventually there will be no more things left to prop it up on. This of course is an over simplification of the problems that comes from every side. In this country we are promised 3 things the life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It like your personal safety is not guarenteed. The path to happiness is there for everyone but not the guarentee.

The biggest problem with communism is people are lazy and greedy. That is why that plan always fails. Capatalism will always have its ups and downs but it gives everyone an opportunity to pursue their happiness rather than take the one given to them by the government in those types of systems. Overall every system will have its faults but I find the freedom with capatalism is the best and when its allowed to will renew itself like a forest that is allowed to burn, but that is another whole problem that over intervention causes.

I find it impossible to take anything you say in this post seriously. Really, just what idea of FDR's was "fascist"?
