why does yugioh wikia say that gorz's special summon can be negated by royal oppresion?

cirkinfinite why does yugioh wikia say that gorz's special summon can be negated by royal oppresion? because it's Gorz's effect that allows him to be special summoned. Royal Opression you pay 800 LP to negate effects.

Not during the damage step.
Gorz cannot be negated if special summoned through battle damage because the effects of continuous cards such as Royal Oppression cannot be activated during the damage step.
Obvious answer is obvious. If Gorz has two ways of being special summoned, and one way cannot be negated by Royal Oppression, then the second way can.
There's your Wikia ruling. Not that it matters, since it's a community-based website and no real officials update the rulings there.

It's simply that Gorz cannot be negated when Special Summoned in the Damage Step. If you take Effect Damage and you Special Summon Gorz, Royal Oppression can be activated to negate it.
