I used to be able to eat well, the problem then was the lack (or more like non existance) of exercise.

Now I exercise, not a lot but a half and hour each day walking/jogging in the park. I do it I think because since I'm at the park, I might as well just do the exercise.


My self control when it comes to food is now gone o.0 I have no idea why. If there's food I just eat, then get this bad feeling of guilt after I eat something unhealthy, but I can't stop myself from eating.

So why is it suddenly so hard?

What can I do to control what I eat?



I'm at home all the time because it's the summer holidays so that's giving me more time to stuff my face. I eat like it's winter though o.0

Related or non-related but I'm also procrastinating heaps for my school work. Normally that's after I work hard for a period of time like cramming before an exam or finishing an assessment last minute. Sounds like a similar problem of not being able to stop myself from doing crap and doing my work instead.

yeah its summer here too, and its hot so i would much rather snack than eat a full hot meal- very tricksy and easy to over do. I dont have much advice for you since im having the same trouble myself now, im trying to slowly reduce it day by day so i dont feel too deprived mrgreen

I think it's possible that you just feel more guilt for eating bad things.

Eating something bad for you once in a while isn't terrible, and it's certainly not the end of the world.

Gum.
Gum is honestly my saving grace, because I always feel the need to eat something (and most times it's not something good)

Even Pamela Anderson agrees, that if you're chewing gum, you'll be less likely to eat something as it'll taste funky.

I don't know if it's me wanting to eat, or just wanting my mouth to be doing SOMETHING. Sometimes I just feel like I want to bite/chew/suck on something o.0

It's better now, I think because the not so healthy foods are finished now xD

lol i am exactly the same xD Can resist everything except temptation, right? I like cucumber as well as celery, maybe even add a little humus for taste. Baby veggies are good too- carrots etc. Apple with a little cheese. I chop things into little pieces so i can miindlessly chomp my way through, since thats actually all i want to do

oh my gosh i have the same problem especially right after my mom has gone grocery shopping. its like every five minutes i have something in my mouth and sometimes i dont even remember putting it there. it makes me feel so disgusting. i agree with the gum thing it does work. also try brushing your teeth right after you eat. you'll be less likley to put something in your mouth for a while becuase it will taste disgusting on top of toothpaste.those listerene packs work nice too and you don't always have to have a toothbrush on you. xD

Any suggestions for someone who hates gum? whee It always gives me a sore throat and I don't know why! Plus most brands contain aspartame and I hate aspartame.

Gum is interchangeable with anything to give your mouth something to do.
Gum, sunflower seeds, ice, veggies... the list goes on.

Sometimes I'll even put a piece of plastic or something non-edible in my mouth just to fidget with it; Not sure if that's weird but it works for me.

And I'm back crying


I don't eat that much at school and I don't get hungry but I pig out after school and on weekends. No matter what it is, even fruit, I feel bad because it's in excess >< Help? What can I use as a reminder or punishment? I need to do homework as well so I can't just run out the door whenever I'm feeling guilty...

I've tried chewing gum but it makes me hungry afterwards :S


Also, with exercise, is it bad to go in the afternoon? In summer, I could go after dinner where it would be cooler and not so sunny, but sunset is earlier now.

I've just been wondering, what can I do to remind myself not to eat everytime I think of food?

I seem to be losing self control lately and overeating. I had been alright for a while but now it's just gone xp

I eat before I think so I need to somehow be able to think about what I'm doing before I get food.

If that makes ANY sense...
