No he's not, Shadow was created before Sonic, and he's not a robot.

well I think he means that Shadow is a clone of the original Shadow, or a robot modeled after him, he got it from Shadow the Hedgehog, which were hypothetical answers to Shadow's exsistence and not actal answers, so dont listen to anything that "game" tells you, no offense to people who actually like the game, its just my opinion.

In sonic adventure 2, Shadow was meant to be a 1 time character with him dieing at the end but due to being so popular they brought him back. I personally think of him as the original in the other games with shadow he just lost his memories at some points.
