i saw the old one when i was really little and i liked a song in it..... and i think there was just too much singing!! it is a musical though but not my kinda thing. well Id have to watch it again lol. And I havent seen the 2nd one, ive seen it advertised and been wanting to watch it.

I like both, the recent remake of Phantom of the Opera (if it's the one that was made in 2004) and The Count of Monte Cristo.
I love Phantom of the Opera because I love musicals, but it is really long. Though, I really do like The Count of Monte Cristo, it was a touching tale of revenge (that's how my film as lit. teacher put it anyways).

The Phantom of the Opera actually stuck to the musical very closely. (I've seen it on Broadway).
