I'm really not sure if this is poetry or prose. I just write what God inspires me to write. This is one of my favorite works though.
To Be
The silence is perfect bliss.
The only sound my shallow breathing.
And the scratch of my pen upon the paper.
As I slip into darkness.
Into the world of dreams.
The darkness a melody.
The beating of my heart the drums.
The silence is broken.
The dream gone.
Moonlit forest and silver dragon disappear.
Morning has come.
Replacing fantasy’s with reality.
Bliss with Anger.
Love with Fear.
To stay in the world of dreams.
Would be far worse.
For all dreams cannot be good.
And life often has a happier melody.
Than Death.
For life is the sun and the moon.
When death inhabits the dark places of the earth.
To be or not to be,
Is out of the question.
For to be is far better than to not be.
As hate is to love.
And fear to courage.
So is death to life.
So close and so far.
Always to be.
Never understood.
Life brings joy.
And death sorrow.
Life brings healing.
But death cuts deep.
If to live is to be better then to die.
Then why is life so hard?
And if death is bad,
Then why did the Lord create it?
Perhaps it is the way of life?
To die?
Or is this just a fantasy,
In the reality world.
Perhaps let loose by someone's dreams?
A mere conspiracy?
Death and Life hide.
Their secrets away.
Like greedy children.
Their ways are unknown.
We only have faith and hope..
And that is enough if we believe.
Death has already been conquered.
And life is given unto him who asks.
To Be or Not To Be.
Has an answer.
To Love,
Learn,
Grow,
And Trust,
Until it is your time.
The Answer Is To Be.
To Be Is The Answer.
