Creating a Thread

So you want to make a new thread for the picture-post subforum? Great! Just be sure you're familiar with the rules outlined below as well as those in the guild Constitution, and you'll be set. :)


x Please make absolutely certain that your thread is not a repeat. Only ONE thread will be allowed for any given series or theme, and any repeat threads will be deleted.
x In order to start a thread, you must have a minimum of 10 pictures. They must all conform to the rules for posting pictures outlined in the next post.
x DO NOT attach a poll to your thread at any time. This is not a polling guild, and no part of your thread should be "just a quick way to get gold."
x If your thread is themed rather than a series, be sure to adequately explain what the theme is so no one gets confused and posts the wrong kind of picture. (You need to also PM a moderator and get permission for themed threads)
x Be aware that you are responsible for the content of your thread to a degree. If an excess amount of pictures that break guild or sitewide rules are found in any thread you maintain, you may be banned.


"Um, wasn't there something else..?"
If you've been a member here for a little while, you may recall that there used to be an additional step to creating a thread: getting it approved by mod. We've done away with that! Now you can make your thread without waiting for someone to come by and tell you it's okay. (Just make sure it IS okay by following all the rules.)

Posting Pictures in a Thread

We're grateful that you want to share your collection of pictures with us! Just make sure that everything you post follows the rules outlined below, as well as those in the guild Constitution.

x ALL pictures must be rated either PG-13 or below. This is an official rule of Gaia, not just this guild, so offenses are not treated lightly. Content exceeding PG-13 includes, but is not limited to: highly sexualized themes, sexual organs, erections, semen/unknown bodily fluids, groping, n****e pinching, visible and implied sexual intercourse, grinding, and extreme gore. Always "round up" -- if you are unsure about a certain image, it's probably not PG-13.
x Limit 10 images per post, or 30 if the images in question are smaller than 100x100. Posts exceeding these limits will be deleted.
x Pictures must be posted directly, not as links, unless they exceed the image size limit (800 pixels in width). You must post pictures from an image host, hotlinking from websites is not permitted.
x Do not quote images in a reply.
x Please try to post quality images. Blurry, grainy, or badly-scanned images are highly discouraged. This includes poor quality fanart, please post that in the Arena Forum, not the Picture-Post which is more focused on showcasing the best fanart of the series.


"Can I post this awesome manga?"
In short, no. You may not post images of, links to, or information on how to acquire manga or doujinshi, translated or raw.

"Wait! I don't have a picture to post, but I've got something to say!"
This IS a picture-post subforum, so it's preferred that you do post images if possible. However, if you must post without one, your post cannot be mindless in content and must be relevant to the thread you are posting in. All comment-only replies must consist of at least three words. If the discussion in a thread is beginning to overshadow the posting of images, please go to the Pocky Shop thread for that series (if it doesn't exist, create it!)
