Sometimes toothpaste burns my tongue too, but only after I've eaten some particular thing. I haven't figured out what that is, though.

It could be one of those really deep-cleansing antibacterial toothpaste types. Believe it or not, most of the germs in your mouth are on your tongue. And if the ingredients in the toothpaste seek & destroy bacteria... well, the big war is at your tongue.

Mouthwash is even worse. It burns so much sometimes your eyes can start watering. D=
