hi im tryin to start a band and i really like playing funk but metal is like the greatesst music in the world!!!!!sso idk if i should start a metal band or a funk band....PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

hmmm. . . that'd be very interesting to hear a band that blended funk and metal together but I would honestly check a band out that could do that.

both wouldnt be that hard to do but like i dont know if it would sound good to have like some hardcore metal riff and like a funky chorus i dont even know how to lead a metal riff into a funk riff well thank u guys for ur input

you sont have to blend funk and metal.. take Jesus and The Marychain for example... they got a lot of albums that are just hardcore white noise right? yet they also have The Darklands... which is very smooth and kind of Radiohead style rock you know?
just get a group of friends that feel the same way and jam smile

^ thats sounds pretty interesting actually.
use funk techniques, slap bass can be pretty heavy when detuned. just feel the music and dont' go for a specific style. go for heavy, upbeat, ambient or whatever it is you're going for. style is your tool, now go sculpt yourself a song! domokun
