Rate my Photos (Update!)

Update!!! Okay, so I got rid of the two crappy pictures that I posted a while ago. I took some more pictures and I'm going to post it here.

I'm interested in photography, but I'm not a professional. Right now the only thing I'm good at taking pictures of is the human face. I'm working on the bust, and I'll gradually work on getting the full body. Keep in mind I'm still a beginner! Please comment the photography.

Note: The girl in this picture is not me, (I'm a guy!) its my friend.

i like the second one better. I give it a 9 for the second and 7 for the first. The first one is at a really awkward angle...and makes her face look kind of fat

but the second one isn't as zoomed in and it looks more appealing

good job...now you just need to learn to take a picture of the full body

I actually think the first one looks better.
The angle matches with the direction of her eyes & it gives an 'illusion' feeling with her hair while the second one looks very flat.
Though, I would try one with eye contact {& possibly a smile!}.

The second one has too much space at the top.
Her neck is also very hidden.

Though, the quality is really fuzzy, and the colors are very unnatural. D:
Too yellow. ;~;

Much better quality than the firsts.

The blank background really makes a difference.

The eye-contact and smile is lovely,
& in the second one, the 'glow-ish' effect gives off a warm feeling.

i like the second one the most and the fourth one after

photo #1: skin tone appears too dark compared to the background
photo #2: the shadow between the two crossed arms arent "defined" enough
photo #3: theres an annoying strand of hair in her face...why didn't you fix it?
photo #4: why did you cut off her arm? it would have been good if you could have gotten that arm

wow...these new ones are like...a lot better than those previous ones. its like...they had no color

but yea...i like the 4th one cuz in the other 3 pics, your model looks like shes having a face cramp becuz u forced her to smile for a long time or something lol...but not just that...it kind of seems weird when she has to "twist" her body...and the 4th one shes standing upright

Yeah, the shadow to the right of the girl in the first picture kind of bugs me.
I would experiment with the lighting. :3

Though, I have to disagree with Akemi on the second one. D:
I like the 'exposure' effect. {I think that's what it's called.}

yeah thanks everyone who critiqued my photography...

im going to work more on the lighting, and ill pay mroe attention to the model too, lol

and yes, she did complain that her face was tired from holding that smile to long razz

i forgot to make this suggestion (i had it in my head but didnt type it)

u kno how in the first three pics shes wearing a semi-formal dress right? well since she already looks so elegant u might as well take a picture of her with a bouquet in her hand or with some kind of accessory. or maybe u can take a picture of her and somebody else...like a "couple" picture
