[Po] The Butterfly~A Spiritual Verse.

[Rainbow Bubbles of Doom]

It is written by me; pardon any spelling or grammatical errors. It is my first poem like this, please tell me what you think. Constructive criticism is appreciated as well :]

A caterpillar crawls to a twig on a branch on a tree.
It spins a soft thread about itself, enclosing itself within a chrysalis.
A cocoon.
Inside it stays for weeks until one fateful day it opens.
Out comes the caterpillar with a slight change in appearance.
It emerges with soft, moist wings displaying the entire spectrum of colors.
They glisten in the morning light.
There it sits for a while as the beautiful membrane dries.
Then off it flutters into the sky, to live, to fly...
The same thing happens to us when God welcomes us into his family.
We are caterpillars, meandering through life until our Father calls us to become clean in him.
We are spun within a cocoon of baptism and released into holiness.
God has made us all butterflies.
We are new creations in him.

I think its really good, for some reason im more partial to rhyme schemes >_> But for unrhyming its really good, are you going to enter it in a contest? Or just for the sake of expression?
