Why is he being such a jerk?

Plz help me.
I have been talking with a guy online for many months now.He's from here.
Lately when I told him i would cut the internet he became tottaly rude and said weird stuff like he hates me and that I don't mean much to him and that he was playing with me.
Then later on he came and apologized saying it was all his fault and stuff.
I even told him that I liked him and that I loved him and he said that he didn't feel much.
yet again yesterday when I told him again it would get cut he said that this sucks and asked me if we would talk again to day or something.
I am really confused.
What's wrong with him?
Did I do something bad?

Obviously, he was using defense mechanisms to lessen the blow your news had on him. He wanted to make you and him feel more distant than you were, so that you losing internet wouldn't be as much of a drag as it would have been if he hadn't done anything.

Oh I thought of that too but why can't he just let things split apart in a calm way?
Why is he acting so dramatically?
I mean it's not like I know him in rl.
I don't know.
He could have just saved time by telling me he will miss me or not.

Why is that insecurity?
I mean why would he do so if he liked me?
I asked him if he hated me and he said no.
He even said that he loves me.

when my bf acually broke up with me he was a real jerk...
however...
what you're doing is only good if its right for you...
internet eats you hun so if u want to then u can get outside more and see him in rl...
instead of bein inside on gaia all day so...

This is true.
I tried it for about a year with this one boy, Surprised it lasted a year probably because I was stupid and let him do what he did. Anyways it doesnt work out, and espically if hes a jerk dear. You can do better.

I agree with the comment about this guy; that he sounds insecure and she can do better.

I disagree about relationships that are online. My fiancee and I met on gaia, moved into real life and are now to be wed in a few months.
