Dosen't it seem like L WANTS to believe light is kira and that he won't believe anything else?

It's kinda funny, though, since he said that he didn't want Light to be Kira... xd Liar.

I think he wanted for Light to be Kira because for one thing he was completely sure he was Kira and also put so much effort into monitering Light sweatdrop......

He says he wants to believe Light is Kira, doesn't he? O_o
L knows that Light is Kira, he just can't prove it. So he doesn't want to believe that anyone else is Kira, because then he'd doubt himself. L's intuition is known to be on the spot, so if he was wrong about Light being Kira, then that would be a blow to his ego.
I wonder if L was working alone, if he'd just use his powerful name to have Light exicuted without anyone knowing. If the killings stopped (he'd have Misa also) then he was right and he doesn't have to worry about it. If not then he'd have to continue the investigation, but with less trust from those he had to inform to do the exicution, but if L had Misa exicuted, then it'd only be a matter of time before Rem killed L so that wouldn't matter.
