Here are lyrics to a song I'm writing about the teeny bopper bands of today; and of recent have become apart of the new rock fad going on.
Sheep N' Shepard

Verse 1:
Ignorant little ******** sheep
Following sirens, money seek
The over and over constantly swoon
Every song the same bloody tune!

Chorus:
O' where has all the music gone?
And why can't these new people write a song?
The talents lost in eras gone!
Why, over idiots do they faun?

The world may never know
Please let this ******** fad go!

Verse 2:
My ears grow tired with every listen
All this "music" lacks glisten
Its a done and done again deal
WRITE MUSIC YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL!

*repeat chorus*

Verse 3:
I can't wait till your days are over
The drugs are gone and your ******** sober
Enough to realize you're a loser
Not a legend, washed up hoser!

*repeat chorus*
Verse 4:
Talentless shepards who lead their sheep
Stop playing, your dignity keep
It's just a matter of time
Before this fades and brings your demise

*repeat chorus*

what think all of ye?

I like it, but I write poetry not music... So I'm not sure I'm much help but yes it's good.

I believe what you tried to say was something like:

Forgive me if I'm out of order -
this new 'music' has no soul.
It may be good for making money,
(sadly that is not my goal).

Integrity and honesty are words that you don't understand,
but you're the best - it says so in the penny dreadful in your hand.

I saw you in a magazine,
they're calling you messiah.
They must be living in a dream -
they couldn't be more wrong.

If we'd played this riff more punk
then maybe we'd have had a million seller.
but this piper's tune is not for sale,
(I'm glad to say I'm not that kind of fella).

D.J.s, V.J.s, pimps and trollops,
never mind music - this is bollocks.

I saw you in a magazine,
they're calling you messiah.
They must be living in a dream -
they couldn't be more wrong.

Turn on, tune up, cash in, sell out.

Stand your ground behind the times -
and refuse to follow fashion.
Write your poetry with anger,
(and then sing it with a passion).

Painted faces in a circus - images that spring to mind,
when I read my penny dreadful filled with pictures of your kind.

I saw you in a magazine,
they're calling you messiah.
They must be living in a dream -
they couldn't be more wrong.

Commercial suicide's appealing after
ten years on this losing streak.
'Cause I'd rather be called sour and bitter
than be deemed the flavour of the weak.

I saw you in a magazine,
they're calling you messiah.
They must be living in a dream -
they couldn't be more wrong.

Extra, extra, read all about it!

I saw you in a magazine,
they're calling you messiah.
They must be living in a dream -
they couldn't be more wrong

Certainly your version is more eloquently worded but I chose to make the lyrics unintelligible for effect. Do you think that the song actually suffers for it?

I think it would work well as a shouty OI! Band song or a piece of Rap Metal, but otherwise, I think it isn't flowing enough.

Hmmm maybe a little too much reliance on insulting the people too, so you'd sort of be preaching to the converted.

I was trying to make it reminiscent of an OI! Band song. But you're it could flow better.

I actually liked it,but, apparently that's irrelevant because people seem to know otherwise....

I liked them both but I could relate more to the second one because it rhymed less.
