Working with a team for my OC....again....

I sure do this a lot. I have no problems creating teams on my games, but when it's characters for a story, I have more problems.

I want to create a 6 Pokemon team using 6 of these:
Venonat/Venomoth
Burmy/Mothim
Electrike/Manetric
Paras/Parasect
Cubone/Marowak
Shinx/Luxio/Luxray
Farfetch'd
Bagon/Shelgon/Salamence
Houndour/Houndoom
Nidoran (male)/Nidorino/Nidoking
Ekans/Arbok
Rhyhorn/Rhydon/Rhypherior
Ponyta/Rapidash
Clefairy/Clefable
Psyduck/Golduck
Croagunk/Toxicroak
Vulpix/Ninetales
Shroomish/Breloom
Chinchou/Lanturn

Since this is a character for a story, the stats and moves don't matter too much, but the character is a pretty skilled Trainer who knows how to create a balanced team. He's also been working with his team for several years.

Anyone have any suggestions? I know which ones I personally like, but it ends up having too many fire types.....
