I find the 11th Doctor is acting a little too much like David Tennant. It could be because he's new (I'm behind on episodes) and it also took me a while to warm up to Tennant after Christopher Eccleston. Amy Pond however is fantastic.
Matt Smith does develop his own personality as it goes on. It's still not different enough for my tastes, but he's a fine addition to the Doctor Who family. He's not exactly Eccleston, Troughton, Baker, or Tennant. He's probably at about Jon Pertwee level with me. I.E. the midground of Doctors.
