Is Yaoi Appropriate?

This is going to sound soo strange but...

yaoi & yuri are sexual in nature. It is homo-erotic sex. It is appropriate if:

a) it entertains/interests you
b) it helps you understand your own sexuality.

Sexual experiences are necessary for the growth & development of human beings. If it comes in the form of yaoi or yuri...so be it.

I'm totally a fan of all kinds of love: yaoi, yuri, shonen & shojo-ai.

Like the Beatles say, "Love is all you need."

lol I agree with the others in saying that the sign would be funnier if it were real, but even if it were shouldnt the church (and bible...) accept people for what they choose to be and who they choose to love? I think yaoi is totally appropiate for those who are into it, its just another form of anime... wink

Opinion! I think it depends on how 'deep' yaoi gets. If it's just a simple kiss I guess that's fine.

I have only watched one yaoi anime, and while it was not my taste, I do not find the very idea of it appalling, either. Just like the majority of the people here, I believe that yaoi is a matter of preference, just like the homosexuality issue as a whole. japan is just more open to all walks of life than America is right now. Supposedly the land of opportunity and freedom, power and custom rule all.

I for one love Yaoi, and I think that if you can handle watching it and if you like it, there shouldn't be a problem. I saw this sign and thought it was hilarious. What are your thoughts on it?
