Benjamin Franklin was definitely a polytheist. He wrote on several occasions about how he felt the structure of the universe was in a religious sense.
Indeed. I cited one of his major pieces on the subject.

Perhaps you might want to get a better grasp on what the terms I used mean?
Quote:

I'd quote my sources but I do not have the book handy at the moment. The books title is "Faiths of our Fathers: What the Founding Fathers truly believed."
And I am citing the actual document that Franklin penned.

See the italicized portions- those are the words he used.

Do you know what a Kathenotheist is?
Do you know what Trancendent means?
Do you know what an Eutheist believes?

Oh- I should have added Monistic in there as well.

TeaDidikai,

It is nice to see someone who enjoys a good argument as much as I do. I will admit however that some of my recent posts need work as I am muchly sleep deprived and in a great amount of pain physically atm....this doesn't excuse bad penmanship/incoherant arguments so I will try to rectify them in the future. I'll take a look at the terms you put in the post and see what I can find out about them. If you have links I always appreciate them (they go in my special Research favourites section).

By the by, which Dresden character is your favourite? I lean towards Murphy and Dresden though Butters is just kinda cool! That and Gentleman Johnny Marcone is just awesome too. heart

Well back to bed for me with a nice warm chai!

Have a great New Years!

Page two has a fair attempt to outline them: A Collection of Understandings

You could also find them in the dictionary.

Hard to say- either Bob or Dresden.

I happened across this survey today via Chas Clifton (an honest to goodness pagan academic). It is being done by graduate students at the University of Idaho, and concentrates one why people join Pagan religions. It is aimed at converts, but I suppose if you are a different strain of pagan than your parents, that will count too.

18 and over only, thank you.

You can find the survey here

I wish they'd give you a page x of y status bar.

Don't suppose you know how to contact them? I'm a little offended by their 'are you polyamorous question'.

If you have questions about the study or interview, you can ask the investigators during the interview, when the interview is complete, or at any time you feel is appropriate. Please contact Michell Wood M.S. (wood8762@uidaho.edu), Chris Wood M.F.A. (wood87632uidaho.edu) or Dr. Deirdre Sommerlad-Rogers, Department of Justice Studies, 208-885-4210, drogers@uidaho.edu.

They defined it as being in a relationship with more than one person. Made me twtich. Tea knows the twitch.

I thought the survey was well thought out, and well worded, I do not often get to discuss the more structural aspects of my beliefs, and the questions where geared towards the different way men and women where treated in each religion we have practiced.
