Anyway, I've heard of the term "badger." That may be a more appropriate word, but I'm not entirely clear on how it's used.

The term scratchy badger tends to signify a Recon -- from other pagans perspective, because they are supposedly cynical of anything not out of a really old book and ornery.

Badgers have fur. They can be fluffy.

Further- what I think this illustrates is the reverse side of the coin of the common fluffy bunny. The person has learned enough to be vaguely knowledgeable- but does not critically implement what they have learned.
