I bought an issue of the Star Trak official magazine (£3.75/ around $7! Not cheap!)

MOVIE UPDATES:
Spock will be played by Zachary Quinto (Sylar in Heroes) and Leonard Nimoy.

Uhura will be played by Zoe Saldana (Anamaria in POTC)

Chekov will be played by Anton Yelchin
Kirk, Bones and Sulu have not yet been chosen.

BUT James Kyson Lee (Hiro in Heroes) is said to be persuing the role.


ALSO

This month (November), there are 12 ST actors who celebrate their birthdays, including Armin Shimerman (Quark), Robert McNeil (Tom Paris), Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan), Robert Beltran(Chakotay), Terry Farrell(J. Dax), Alexander Siddig(Bashir), Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar) and Ricardo Montalban (Khan Noonien Singh)

AND
A capsule containing a USS Enterprise Plaque, an ST DVD and a magazine HAS BEEN SENT TO MARS! :3

LASTLY
The late James Doohan (aka Montgomery Scott) is being remembered with an exhibition in a museum in Scotland. Awwh!

Yes, he was, but he was best known for playing Scotty.
He also came up with the roots of the Vulcan and Klingon languages. :3
