As with virtually every genre, I only like artists that stand out to me. I've always liked Emperor (who practically invented the genre), and am fond of a lot of the more symphonic works of Aborym (I love their non-symphonic works as well, but that's for a different thread).  

[Disease of the Flesh]

I like Therion. It is a great band. Don't know if it is black metal but it is symphonic and you can headbang to it! rofl
