Hello, i've got a problem, recently i got sick and i recalled 2 Christemas' ago when i got so ill i lost 10 pounds+ in about a week and was unhealthly thin, (that week i ate little and slept aton). Well i gained my wieght back and a little more when i got better.
Now i'm ill again and i dont want to gain more wieght or lose an unhealthy amount so fast, My qeustion: what do you do to keep healthy when your sick?
(this time being sick, i'm able to eat healthy but i've spent so much time sleeping i've forgotten to drink my water and i've not worked at (only streched) becuase my stomach is essy to upset)
Also i stick to the B.R.A.T deit (banana's, rice, apple scuace, and toast, i also drink lots of broth and soup)
Thank you in advance!

I'm a big fan of the BRAT diet too, when I'm sick. The way to keep at your healthiest is to use mostly the bananas and apple sauce, and a bit of brown rice; make sure you get a little protein each day (eggs, fish, cheese, meats, or tofu or other meat substitutes); and keep a full water jug near where you're resting, so that you don't have to get up just to get a drink. You'll lose a little bit of weight still, but you'll be healthier than if you didn't do these things.
When you're starting to get well again, stretch a little more (and a bit more vigorously, but VERY gradually warm up to that) and eat a little more in the way of protein. Add vegetables back to your diet once your stomach isn't so upset all the time. If you're having diarrhoea, take Immodium to help solidify things again; it'll save you a lot of anguish in the bathroom. But don't take a lot of fiber when you're having digestive adventures, because that will make you go even more often, and that'll get really uncomfortable.
When you're sick, that's not the time to think about losing or gaining weight. Just do what feels right for your body. Only return to normal eating and exercising gradually, and only when your body tells you it's ready. Don't push yourself to hurry up and get well, or you could weaken yourself and wind up having a relapse. No fun at all.

just try to eat lots of fruit, and drink lots of liquids. But, getting healthy again should be a priority over your weight. So if you have to gain a litle bit to get your strength back, then I wouldn't worry about it.
