"Now, you over reacting bug, listen up!" Keyon was up in the Sandyanmamon's face now, fitting for how close the bug had gotten to him before. "Either you let us walk away like nothing happened, or..." he jabbed his thumb up towards Duke, "...I have my buddy here incinerate you with his own version of Hell! You got that!?"The Sandyanmamon, now gasping for breath with how much he had been beaten up, finally tried to say something. "I...I..." Then he let out an irritating sound that sounded a lot like cicada's in the summer time...only they were all right next to a microphone wired to a rock concert amp. Keyon closed his ears against the sound. Duke on the other hand heard something beyond the cry. "EXHAUST FLAME!!!!" A column of blazing red fire erupted from Duke's mouth and crashed into the Sandyanmamon. In a second, the sound had quit and tiny particles of data floated up from the flame like sparks from a campfire. In place of the irritating sounds, a low rumble accompanied by a vibration in the ground resounded throughout the oasis. "What is that?"

"Keyon, that's his friends! The last thing he did was call for help!" Duke growled frantically. Keyon saw why Duke was worried. He may have been able to take one Sandyanmamon on just because he was bigger. But the two were both still champion level, and he was positive that his red dino friend couldn't take on a whole hive of the monsters. "Ok gang, I vote we get out of here....now!" "Wait Keyon!" Keyon turned to see Duke holding a large glimmering piece of glass with an indentation of a giant dragonfly in it. "I made it in the sand with my fire! Can I keep it?" Keyon's eye was twitching. Here he had an emergency on his hands and his new champion level was treating the remains of the carnage he caused like preschoolers do with macaroni art! "Sigh...yes, you may! But you're packing it!" Duke beamed with pure happiness as he stomped after his tamer who was running out of the oasis and following the map to Network City, hoping his friends would follow

"Gah" As Houko felt the rumbling under him, he ran towards his digimon. "Dageki we have to get out of here!" He picked him and put him on his back and started running in the same direction as Keyon. "Houko they're right behind us." Houko turned his head slightly to see behind him and saw a SkullScorpiomon and another SandYanmamon burst out of the ground. He turned his back and started running faster.

(Enter Jax and Ghoulmon)
Ghoulmon descends to the spot where he sees Lance. Jax points to a landing spot nearby.
"Let's be careful Ghoulmon. No dying today."
Ghoulmon is quizzical.
"I never knew you to cautious."
Jax doesn't react. He just keeps looking forward.
"I had a change of heart."
Ghoulmon lands a short distance away from Lance, and Jax leaps off his back. Jax walks over to Lance.
"I guess this is ground zero."
He notices Lance looks weird.
"Hey you ok?"
"I believe that is what you humans call a stomach ache."
Jax looks up to see Ghoulmon standing over him.
"Since when were you a doctor?"
"Since when were you a pacifist?"
Jax scowls at him.
"hey, that was a low blow."

[Enter Kazu + Ex-Veemon from RK HQ]

Kazu was being carried into the desert by Ex-Veemon, they spotted Lance and Jax,

"Oh God, Lance has passed out and we've not even started yet" Kazu face-palmed as Ex-Veemon set down.

"Hey Jax, he ok?" Kazu kneels next to Lance and checks over his pulse and breathing, "He should be fine, just too hot and probably ill too... Ex-Veemon if you don't mind the head can you spread your wings and cast some shade for me please?" Ex-Veemon nodded, the head didn't bother him due to his dragonic nature. Kazu pulled Lance into the shade and used Lance's jacket as a make-shift pillow to rest his head on, Kazu then reached into his pack and got out a bottle of water, Being carefull not to spill any he gently poured some of the icy water into Lances mouth, making sure to hold his head up so he didn't choke, a dribble ran down his chin, so Kazu wiped it off gently with his sleeve...

(This has the potential to be read in a very yaoi-tastic way sweatdrop )

Jax moves to Lance's side.
"Take it easy. It wouldn't be good to be one man short in the very beginning of the mission."
Jax looks around.
"Ghoulmon. Scan the area. I want to know what we're dealing with."
Ghoulmon uses all three of his eyes to search the area.
"Nothing. I think the memory may be hidden somewhere."
Jax sighs.
"That's no good. If we have to search for it, it'll take a long time. At least we might get a head start on the spirits now."
