Toby saw the bludger too late, and though he dived down in an attempt to avoid it, it was set on a collision course with his right shoulder, which it hit with a stomach turning crack. "Mother-" the curse turned into a whine of pain, and he bit his tongue to prevent from actually screaming in pain. Yep, this shoulder was at least fractured and definitely out of it's socket. It was hanging twisted and awkward and he felt sick looking out of it, before he fell off his broom and hit the ground hard. He sat up after a moment and raised his hand into the air, and to his relief his broom came into it immediately. Using it as a bit of a crutch, he hobbled over to the sidelines just in time to watch Ronna take to the skies again.

I just can't decide what I'm running from.

Tanya sighed when she barely managed to scrape a fingernail against the quaffle but gave a whoop when her fellow Red team member stole the ball away from her. She sped off following by to help make sure it didn't land in the other team's hands again and it was when he was practically by the goal posts she saw the familiar golden hair of her first year on the field yelling about Ronna. Shocked she sped off towards the ground and jumped off her broom when she was only a foot off the ground and ran towards him. "Wren! What are you doing here? And I mean here here not on the pitch like this here. " Tanya questioned. When she had explained the game to her friend during the summer he hadn't seemed very interested so it came as a surprise to her to see him here.

"Thanks Crash." Leonette called as she caught the quaffle and made her way back down the field. Hopefully she could get back down the field and score but with her luck it would be tough. Not that she was about to give up anytime soon.

"Tanya - your arm, is it alright? The captain has healing potion." He blurted before he could remember he'd probably get the same determined reaction from any Gryffindor. Especially during try outs in front of the captain - no one would want to seem like a wimp, right? "Or, you know, not." He floundered and trailed off until he remembered there was a question to change subject with. "I came to cheer for you." He grinned sheepishly. "You're doing brilliantly. But what are you doing wasting your time with me here, there's a game to play, Tigress. Your team needs you." If Tanya missed a spot on the team for coming to see him he'd be just about ready to shoot himself in the leg - that would be the exact opposite effect of what he was hoping for.

O.O.C. - I literally won't be back for the next 14 hours.

Theo flew around almost aimlessly, not knowing what to do for quite awhile. As he picked up the movements of a chaser, he started to move around a lot more and he was now going to try to get something done. He watched as his teammate Leonette had started up the field with the quaffle, he kept flanks until she was ready to pass off.

He had never thought he would have to play chaser, but hey, maybe he could give it a shot.

Tevye managed to not only hit someone but knock them off there broom. That's more like it he moved around trying to find another target. He saw one of the Chasers Caitlin and tried to hit her with a bludger.

Looks like Theo is joing the Chaser fray, a welcome in hit?

She winced as she saw Toby head for the ground, wondering, who had sent the finishing blow. Maybe he would feel better for not being the first one down? It really seemed like at this point the other beaters were desperate to just hit anyone-Ronna, she understood, she had been having good luck- but Toby was on his last leg, anyone could see that. But, it still counted as a hit, technically, she supposed. Well, Elli would be there with healing potion for him soon enough and he was tough. Maybe the short break would get his luck back.

Meanwhile, Ronna was glad to see Theo try out, and happy to see him try out for chaser, maybe he considered her advice about about applying your skills in muggle sports to quidditch-the wizarding sport. For example, she was good at baseball, which is what tended to give her any edge as a beater. She smiled, despite covered in blood, not knowing for sure if her decided to heal straight or not she aimed at Theo.

Xavier heard the familiar buzzing of a bludger and saw one going at him, but at least he saw it fast enough. He just ducked his head and there you go, he avoided it. Then, at the corner of his eye he saw the quaffle he threw go in. The fifth year mentally cheered to himself as he scored. Then Crash passed to Leo. Huffing with determination glinting in his eyes, he sped after her. Let's try it again Xavier, he took a deep breath, And stop looking like you're hyperventilating. He grinned at the thought, then tried to steal the quaffle from the second year.

Xavier didn't even realized that Leo was just right behind him, and when she stole, it caught him by surprise. He skidded to a halt, circled, then chased after the second year. But before he could even try to snatch the ball back, Leo had already threw the quaffle over to Theo. He knew that the second year had yet to hold the quaffle, but right now he was thinking of it as a real game. A real quidditch match. And in a real match you can't afford even giving the opponent a slight chance to hold the red ball. And if they did, you must steal it and earn scores.

He then raced after the quaffle in the air and reached out his arm to try and intercept the pass.

And he caught the ball with his outstretched left arm. Xavier grinned ever slightly, and tucked the ball between his stomach and arm. It might be hard to steal it in such a position. But hey, you wouldn't know. Speeding to the other end of the pitch as fast as his Nimbus could give him, his mind wandered to where Lyre would be right now... Is she safe? Comfortable...? Maybe after the try outs he could go and visit her... Yeah, that would be a good plan.

Theo kept flank until he felt the force of an ox hit him his arm. He saw the ball right before he had gotten hit, tried to maneuver around it, but it was inevitable. He had not known what was going on around him. He turned to see who hit him, until he looked back to find the quaffle coming to him. He caught it, but fumbled it and whilst he was fumbling it a sixth year came and swept it away.

Quite angry he decided he would do the same. Maybe he would get it, maybe not. He went in for the steal.
