Collowrath Esiris Collowrath Where has this been all my life? that sounds perfect for a warm summer night on the porch. I was making fresh strawberry milkshakes for the kids and decided I needed something a bit stronger. Ain't that the truth. I had three strawberry plants last year, but they came up late so I didn't get any. Come strawberry season this year and I have nearly a dozen plants and so many strawberries I swear I can't look at them any more. My mom is wild about strawberries though, so I've been her dealer this year. XD It's been really cool and damp this year- so my strawberries haven't ripened yet.

Esiris maenad nuri Needless to say, my landlords are not my favorite people right now. No longer being "kicked out" (but that was never our intention!), but the common areas have been redefined, husband has to vacate the office room so it can be rented out to another of our friends. This is, fine --whatever. the WTF is that extended stay guests now incure a per diem after some unspecified number of days. This is not in our lease, and he's going to trust us on it. We're kind of pissed about it. Husband has been angry for two weeks, and I'm just figuring I can deal with anything for a year. I don't know if this helps- but in my state there's a set number of days a "guest' can visit for- so maybe your state has that too?
In Ohio it's something like two weeks. Landlords can stipulate other time periods but if it isn't on the signed lease, they can't enforce it.
IANAL but I just went through this sort of thing with my dad and his landlady, and you have the option of putting the rent into an escrow account so long as you honor your end, if your landlord is not. Especially if what you're renting has been "redefined," but your rent payed has not been renegotiated to reflect the smaller living space.
In the meantime, enjoy those peacock feathers. I hope you post pics on one of your blogs (if you haven't already), because I'd certainly love to see what you do with 'em.
