Yanueh Maze Closed. She put the lid back on. Is that a bad thing/only logical? All I know is that she's been doing that for years now without any seemingly ill effects to her own health. She does use open containers as well back home, though. If chlorinated water is left in an open container overnight, the chlorine will evaporate on its own. That's why I wondered.
Should've left it in the hall, then. Evaporated chlorine is the reason I stopped swimming in public pools. Still, that's good to know and gives me something to test. o:

saint dreya Maze Evaporated chlorine is the reason I stopped swimming in public pools. neutral How does that work, if I might ask?
Well, if I remember my chemistry right - and there's a good chance I don't - then it's the evaporated chlorine that's my problem.
Either way, back when I went to highschool, swimming pools used a lot of chlorine in their water. The heat causes the chlorine to evaporate and go up into the air, but because it was in a closed room, the chlorine just hung around and gave me headaches.
It got even better when they told me I didn't have to swim anymore and could hang out on the balcony - just below roof-level - where the hot air congregated and gave me major headaches instead.
The amount of chlorine used in swimming pools today in the Netherlands is significantly lower, but I've never quite been fond of public swimming pools afterwards.
Personal lack of preference, if you will.
Oh, and if I mess up the phrases, feel free to correct me, by the way. I've noticed - recently as well - that my English isn't the best out there when it comes to technical terms and what not.

I've noticed - recently as well - that my English isn't the best out there when it comes to technical terms and what not. Perfectly understandable and thank you for the explanation. Makes a lot of sense actually. Depending on the degree of experience, there are a number of people who simply don't engage in certain activities.
Oh, hey, Guild-quotes show up under notices now. o: That's new, is it?
But yeah, I've been revisiting my childhood memories with the chlorine. But I'm back in the Netherlands now, and the water here is a lot better. smile Only have to deal with bleached towels in the hotel.

I appreciate the idea that bleach cleans very well, and one would want that in a towel, but the smell...maybe I'm just weird with towels and like to press my face into it when I get out of the shower, or take it out of the dryer.

Not something I recommend with bleached towels, no. But freshly washed ones are warm and smell divine.
