════════════════════════Caitlin frowned when Leo missed and watched as the quaffle was passed and stolen twice. She felt bad for going after the younger girl, Tanya, she'd talked to her last year, but she needed to make up for being late. Cait leaned forward a bit, chasing after the girl and when in reach, attempting to knock the quaffle out.

════════════════════════Caitlin couldn't help but smirk as the scarlet ball dropped into her hands. Yeah, she barely managed to get a grip on it, but it was still a grip none the less. Quickly, she turned and rocketed toward the goal posts where Alexandria was stationed. Surely, if she needed help getting the quaffle down there, she'd have it. But, she was the oldest chaser out there, so maybe that'd be to her benefit.

Okay, focus, and don't get hit again... right... easier said than done.
Ronna took a deep breath, her shoulder was killing her, since it was more important to flying than say her leg was, well, her upper thing helped in flying but the welt and nasty bruise from Cameron's first land on her wasn't that big of a deal, especially compared to her left shoulder. She had to be that much more careful if she didn't want to be knocked out, but then again her odds for making the team were slim if you calculated in her actions of last year which she was fairly sure wouldn't just be ignored no matter how well of a game she played and how well she minded her manners. The strategy of try-outs was more to show that she could change-did change- than make the team even as reserves, especially this year. And, everyone else trying out for beater was just having a mostly off day. Sure, Ronna was decent, but her on a roll playing she chalked up more to luck than anything else.
She spotted a bludger as she noticed Caitlin racing towards the goal with the quaffle. Well, it would give Caitlin a chance to show her dodging skills right? And if she couldn't dodge it, well one hit wasn't that bad, and it would slow her down, since the opposite team was on the advantage with more chasers and Ronna didn't want to tempt Cameron to hit her again-not that she could blame him at this point, since she was doing surprisingly well, and he wasn't exactly fond of her since last year. She swung aiming a bludger towards Caitlin, hoping, that even if it missed that she didn't do something astronomically stupid or unlucky like end up hitting herself.

Jacob grimaced as he realized that he had not only missed the bludger, but that Ronna had aimed again at another player. Wincing, he debated between who he was going to aim for to, well, save his brother's girlfriend. Ugh. Why did Rick start dating again? Taking aim, he wound up for a hit on Ronna again. She was the bigger threat, though he had to admit, she was definitely decent. Now, if only he was as good this time around.

Okay, he started out late. Xavier took a while to adjust himself with the vagueness of his surroundings. He could have wore contacts and just used his goggles, but noooo, he had to go with his normal sight and his pockets on his pocket. Next time, he scolded himself, try and bring your contacts you idiot. Shaking his head, he mounted on his broom and rocketed to the sky. It took him another while to search for his teammates and figure out which group is who. But yeah, now he knows it. Caitlin and Tanya sped off, flying a couple of feet in front of him before zooming off. Seeing the familiar red ball tucked on Caitlin's arm, Xavier sped off after her, leaning forward, his chin a couple of inches away from his broom. When close enough, Xavier shot his hand towards the quaffle in a swiping motion, urging his hand to tip the quaffle back to the Red team's possession.

Holy... yep, time to be a target time, Ronna.
Ronna heard the whizzing (or that is how she described the sound of the bludgers it was more of a whizz mixed with a monster's gargle) coming towards her and she turned, not bothering to watch whether her hit bludger towards Caitlin would end up getting intercepted or not, she had something coming for her to worry about. And worse it was coming too fast and quick to dodge. She noted it was from Jacob as she raised her left arm to block her face some only to deflect it slightly and hear a sickening crunch as it backlashed into her nose before flying off.
She placed both her hands on her broom, barely holding her bat as she saw the blood pouring from her nose. She held back the tears of the pain, really not that concerned with the fact she had taken a bludger to the face, and more concerned with landing safely. Besides with as much blood pouring from her nose it wasn't like she could safely fly anyways.
She managed to land and sat on the ground holding her nose, feeling like an idiot. She probably could go to infirmary, but then again, it wasn't like a broken nose could kill her and suddenly she started chuckling, despite the pain, blood, and some tears from the pain realizing that it was probably her comeuppance for breaking her neighbor's nose as a kid. Well, she couldn't really get mad about a broken nose now could she? And there would be magic close enough to get it fixed for her, besides.
