[-][L-N+][P-1x1] Time to Tutor the Bully (In session)

Kyo heard the disgusted rumors and walked over to see what was going on. Unfortunately, it was a little difficult to go past the crowd of people standing around. He did hear something about an animal eating another. Wasn't that supposed to be a normal thing in the animal kingdom?

Gikishou stopped him. "The eel is eating a dying fish... and it's not very pretty. They eat from the inside out and very graphically. Not fun to watch."

"So why are people watching it?" Kyo asked, still a little curious. He tried to imagine what was going on, but his mind just came up blank, so he didn't know how graphic the scene might be.

Gikishou struggled to explain. "because people tend to get a weird fascination out of seeing things like that. That's why people tend to look when there's a crash or something. We can't help but look."

"Human curiosity?" Kyo concluded, though in question. He had seen people halt in one area where an accident took place, and he had always wondered why. Maybe it was a matter of human curiosity just like the matter being focused on the tank.

Gikishou nodded. "For some reason, we just can't stop. I guess all of us have a sick fascination with gross horrible things. Anyway, we probably want to wait before going to that tank."

"Okay, if you say so," Kyo said. "Then how about we see the jellyfish? They're okay to look at, right?" Though still curious, maybe his urge to see what was going on inside the tank may ease if they saw something else.

Gikishou nodded and led him to the tank, smiling as they watched them all float around.

Watching the graceful creatures move around the tank, Kyo's eyes were mainly looking at the thin and possibly delicate strings following the moving tops. It seemed almost impossible to believe that those strings were what caused a great pain.

Gikishou smiled, then noticed that they were putting minnows in the tank. It was time for the jellyfish to eat. they stunned the small fish with their tentacles and pulled them into their stomachs.

When the minnows were put in, Kyo had to look away. He didn't like watching animals die, even if some people thought them insignificant, but he didn't think the feeding was cruel. It was probably better for the jellies to eat live fish rather than dead ones. For all he knew, they wouldn't look for dead bodies of fish that either sank to the bottom or floated to the surface.

Gikishou held him, pressing his face gently to his chest. "Do you want to go see a different tank?" He asked, rubbing his back comfortingly.

Kyo merely nodded, not daring to peek at the tank to see whether or not the jellies had finished. It would probably take a while before the tank was safe to look at again.

Gikishou led him to one where seahorses that thrived in darkness were, glowing from small spots on their bodies. It was a relatively new section. "Bioluminescence..." He said in awe.

As Kyo was led to the tank of partially glowing seahorses, he couldn't help staring at the small spots that randomly decorated the creatures' bodies. He could hardly see the shapes of the seahorses, since the lights were a bit dim.
