I'm only 2 days into Lent and already I'm starting to have withdrawls.
That may be why I can't find the Dr. Who thread anymore. Since I can't, I'll have to say this here:

What I want to know is... what deranged person put Valentine's Day in the middle of Lent, then decided that every child at school would give their teacher chocolate for valentine presents?.... it's a cruel world crying

Thanks! I'll see if I can rustle myself up a new sig. I'm kinda tired of the car.
Oh, and, Catira, how much do you know about the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia? As I recall, it also enforced arbitrary gifting between youngsters... although you didn't have to buy a whole classroom full of valentines (you just had to pick a random valentine from a hat... the young women from one hat and the young men from another.)
Lupercalia is also supposed to be when the infamous Parliament of Birds was held, a time when all birds could speak (very similar to the stories of oxen being able to speak on Christmas Eve, and, thus, a time when lovebirds could express their eternal affections for one another, suppose. )
Of course, I'm probably just jumping to conclusions, but I always thought it was a nifty coincidence.
So, ah... what I'm saying is: blame the birds. They set up the "give teacher chocolate she can't eat for four more weeks" thing as a revenge for duck blinds and living room windows that are way too clear.

By the way, does anybody know the story of the war between the Elephants and the Ants? I can't find it anywhere.

Popping in to say heya to me geezers ~ hasn't been on for awhile as my mom's not been doing well at all and I've been fairly busy trying to take care of those issues ~ huggles to all and happy belated Valentines.

i guess i am too much of a geezer to know where I have posted on here and where I have not. Because you cant subscribe to threads in the guild format of forums. And I have no idea where i have posted already the post log says I posted one time and I am sure I posted more then once. Unless I am starting to have memory lose...HELP A GEEZER OUT!! LOL um PM me if you even got a clue what I am asking LOL or talkn about. So confussed lol
