Eva laughed. "Good luck with that one. They're going to fight over that. You better choose wisely. But speaking of which. I'm sorry my maid of honor was so mean to you the other day. She's like my older sister who is really protective of me. Sometimes she can actually be worse than my brothers. If that's at all possible." Eva was talking about her best friend Jessica. She remembered her talking about how much she hated him although, she didn't know him.

Alex shrugged. "I'll think of something." He smiled. "And any chance we could get your friend over here? I'd like to get on her good side before the wedding." He chuckled.

She nodded. "Good idea. I'll" She stopped as the phone was ringing again. "Why can't you people leave me alone." She whined as she picked up the phone. "Hello?" She said into the receiver.
"I know what we're going to do. We'll need sleeping gas, rope and plenty of gas. We'll take my car we're going on a dirt road." Jessica said. Eva shook her head and smiled.
"Jazzy, call down. We're back together." Again, the other end went silent. "I know what you're thinking and I'm not crazy." She looked at Alex. "I love him."
"Are you crazy?! After what he did to you?!" Jessica shouted in the phone.
"Look, if you come over later we'll talk. I'm not having a wedding without my maid of honor so angry at me." Eva told her.
"Me? You're maid of honor? I don't know what to say? But I still don't like him." Jessica paused and then sighed. "Fine I'll be over after lunch." They said goodbye and Eva hung up the phone.
"Now people leave me alone." She whined as she snuggled closer to Alex.

Alex couldn't help but laugh as he listened to their conversation. Jessica was loud enough for him to here. "Wooow." He laughed a bit more. "She's an interesting one." He smiled and then reached over her and grabbed the cord in the back of the phone. "We could always pull the plug, that would shut them up."

"No!" Eva shouted and put her hand over the phone. "The last time I unplugged the phone from so many phone calls George was sent to the hospital after wrestling with the other egg head in the house." She kissed him and pulled his hand back to her. "And if I can handle Jessica's killing rampage I can handle a bunch of phone calls."

Alex shrugged and kissed her back. "Okay, that explains why you don't want to do that." He smiled. "But I think I'm the one that has to survive Jessica's killing rampage." He chuckled.

Eva ran her fingers through his hair but shivered from the cold wind of the air conditioning. "Never again will I unplug the phone. Especially, when you're out of the house. I mean something could happen to you and I wouldn't be to hear you." The phone rang again. She groaned and unplugged it. "Then again you are here." She giggled and kissed him again.

Alex laughed a bit as she unplugged the phone. "Oh, so you can unplug it but not me?" He smiled and kissed her back. He had noticed her shiver a bit and held her closer than he had before.

Eva shrugged. "Well maybe I just want to be alone with you. I can't help it if I love you so much. That's your doing." She kissed him and then rubbed noses with him. "Then again we do need the phone to call your dad at work."

Alex grinned. "Well you're going to have to prove that to me. Just after I make this call. And I don't know." He laughed. "Hmmm... what to say, what to say."

"Oh it's on, babe. And when I win you will be finding out new ways to express your love. Which I don't mind." She chuckled and rubbed his head. "But I think you should start with the truth. Heaven knows that if you make up something it's just bound to blow up in our faces. Plus I'm sure your dad won't mind that we're back together."

"Now I'm curious." He grinned and moaned softly when she rubbed his head. But he shook it off. "You can do that all you want after the phone call." He kissed her quickly then called his dad.
"Hey dad, it's me." Alex greeted him.
"Hey! How you doing? Are you two still fighting? I'm not stupid you know. You were a wreck yesterday... and the boys told me what happened."
"Yeah everythings fine dad. We worked it out and we're back together again. And um... the wedding's going to be in two weeks."
There was a pause before he answered again. Mumbling could be heard in the background from the other guys at the shop. Apparently they were all listening. "That's great. I'm proud of you boy."
"Thanks dad, and do you care if Eva and me take the day off?" Alex asked him.
"Yeah that's fine. Take all the time you want." The voice on the other line said cheerfully.
"Thanks. Love you. Bye." Alex smiled and hung up the phone. "Well, that went well." He said as he turned to Eva.

Eva smiled. "See, I knew your dad liked me. I know my mom likes you a lot. Now what was I doing again?" She teasingly asked. "Oh yeah, this." She started to massage his head. "Maybe we should play the 'power game' again. I liked the part when you took your shirt off."
