Blushing, Kane kissed Lan as well. It was nice, to have someone there with him. He knew that no matter what, no matter how many days past, every time he woke up Lan would be there with him. It was nice. Huggin lan, and holding him urgently, Kane was remembering the pain he had gone through over his life, all of the heartaches and betrayls he had faced. He would never lose Lan, no matter what. It was what he now feared more than anything. His odd attack of urgency and sorrow made him tear up, but he tried to stop himself. He didn't want Lan to see him crying; he always wanted Lan to be happy. But with the fear that had struck his heart and taken hold of his senses, would he be able to remain happy himself, thinking about what might happen if something ever did happen to seperate them?

Lan sensed the uneasy feeling from his lover. He blushed and looked into Kane's eyes. "W-whats wrong?"

Forcing a smile for Lan, Kane said, "Nothing," with a voice as even as he could muster. "Umm, so, you're feeling better?" Kane wanted to change the subject quickly, not wanting to worry Lan, of course. "Maybe we should go see Kasa one of these days. It would be good to have her look you over, and a nice hot shower would be good for us both." It had been a while since they had visited Kasa, so Kane wanted to stop by and say hi if Lan had the energy.

"That'd be nice" Lan said as he took his lover's hand, smiling at him and purring. "I'd like to see Kasa". His tail swished back and forth as he and his lover walked along the streets, walking to Kasa's. "H-how do you know Kasa?" the neko asked.

"Hmm," Kane said with remembering eyes, "that's a long story. But, to shorten it, she used to helpme sometimes when I got in trouble or didn't have a place to stay. She's always been very kind to me, althoguh she can be critical at times." kane thought about the old days and wondered what he would be like now if he had not met Lan that day. Certainly he would bot be the same person he was today.

The neko purred softly and simply held onto Kane, feeling the warmth from the black haired boy's body. They finally arrived at the bathhouse. "Well...lets say hi" he said as they walked in.

((Umm...Kane's hair is dark purple. sweatdrop ))
Kane nodded as the entered the small bathhouse. Kasa was talking to a young woman and one or two other people were in the showers. Walking over to her, Kane waved so he would not interupt. She nodded and pointed to the shower. With another wave, Kane led Lan to the showering room. Just outside he removed his clothing, blushing, yet completely unashamed to be exposed to Lan like that. He wanted them both to be completely comfortable and honest with each other; and he was unafraid.

Lan blushed as Kane undressed, his eyes taking in all of the purple haired boy's body. He smiled softly and blushed, taking off his shirt as well, baring his smooth chest. The neko blushed a bit deeper when he removed his pants but he too was unashamed in front of his lover. His tail swished as they walked into the showers. The two boys walked to one of the shower heads and Lan gently kissed Kane's cheek. "I-Iove you" he said, unable to express how deep his affections for Kane went.

Kane blushed, but smiled. "I love you too." Kane let the water fall over them and he cleaned himself well. When he skin shone and his hair felt light and soft again, he stepped out of the stream and rang out his hair. It felt so good just to be in the water again, if only for a little while. Showers were a wonderful indulgence in the city.

Lan smiled back and cleaned himself as well. He was finally clean and he smiled, his long white hair falling over his shoulders and down to his waist. THe neko purred and stepped out of the shower, his ears and tail still very wet. Lan brushed his hair out of his eyes and then frowned. "Kane..." he smiled and blushed "I think i'd like to dye and cut my hair...What do you think would look good?"

Knae was supprised by Lan's suggestion. "You want to change your hair?" Kane tried to think of what would look good on the neko. He was already perfect in Kane's eyes, though, so it was difficult for him to think. "Well, do you have any ideas of what you want?" Kane took a towel for himself and gave one to Lan as they went to get their clothes. He had no idea what to suggest to Lan, so he waited to hear what his love was thinking of.

He rubbed his chin and smiled, wrapping the towel around his waist. He blushed softly and kissed Kane's cheek. "I thought I might cut it a bit shorter....and maybe dye it red..." he smiled and held his lover's hips close to his own. "But if you like it the way it is, then i like it..."

Kane smiled and hugged Lan. "You're always perfect to me. If you want to change your hair, you should." Looking Lan over, he said, "I think you would look good with red. How short do you think you want it?" Kane always wanted to support Lan, and since Lan would always be perfect in Kane's eyes, he would be fine with whatever Lan wanted. Well...as long as he didn't want to shave his head completely.

He smiled and hugged back, his tail swishing back and forth. "I think I might like it shoulder length...instead of this waist long hair" he said as he brushed away his long hair.

Helping Lan comb out his wet hair, Kane said, "I think that would look nice, and it would certainly be easier for you," he said with a smile. "Even thoguh it's really pretty like this, it's not very convenient, is it?" Kane had never had his hair quite as long as Lan's, but his hair was rather lon too. Luckily for him it was completely straight and never seemed to leave its place down the center of his back.
