"Yeah but I've seen his parents and they seem to love him alot. So I have no clue what's going on with him."

"Well, he's your friend. You should try to find out what's up with him," she suggested not unkindly, shrugging. "Maybe he's been imperiused," she added, giggling.

"I doubt it. I could just be something as simple as he hears me and Sirius complain about our families that he doesn't want us to feel bad that he has a good one."

"Well, all right. Hey, if you ever get into any trouble, you know you can always come to my house. My mum is positively dying to meet any of my school friends, and Tuney... Well, she might get a crush on you. She probably won't" she added quickly. "She wrote me about some boy she met at school."

"Well I could come over sometime for dinner or something and meet your mum. It would be nice to not have to make dinner."

Lily cheered excitedly. "Just send a letter, either by owl or the muggle way, it doesn't really matter. You'll love Mum's cooking, especially if Petunia helps. Those two are the best cooks I've ever met. Watch out for Daddy, though. He thinks that any boy Tuney and I bring home are our boyfriends. Which actually isn't too far from the truth considering that the last two boys Tuney or I have brought home were our boyfriends. What about you, Remus? Have you ever had another boyfriend outside of Hogwarts?" This was all said rather quickly and in the span of about two breaths.

Remus chuckled. "Well he wouldn't think that if Siri came too. Will your parents be ok with me being gay? And yes I've had a boyfriend outside of school but i was a bit complicated and ended badly."

Lily waved her hand dismissively. "I don't think they'll care. Tell me about this boyfriend. Pretty please?" She was paying more attention to the gossip with Remus than their patrol route.

Remus sighed. "I thought he was sweet and charming and we had things in common. It turned out he wasn't any of those things and just thought he could sleep with me."

Lily shrugged. "Conflict of political interests. He likes the monarchy, I think we need a democracy more like the United States. It led to too many arguments, so we agreed to disagree and broke up. We're still friends, but he's a muggle, so, he knows nothing about Hogwarts and where I go most of the school year."

"I know that, but it's different. The U.S has a president and equal representation- the people vote on everything- that's what the whole Revolutionary War was about. We have a monarchy, meaning we're ruled by one person who makes all the decisions. I prefer the way the U.S. does it, and that's where our arguments occurred."

"All the queen decides on for many years now is weather to wear the pink dress or the white one. We vote for our house members and our prime minister."
