... That's impossible... there already is a lightning element Rasengan... it's called the Chidori... and if a lightning element rasengan where to be approved... There is something wrong with the person doing the acceptance...

Chidori is not a variation of rasengan. Chidori displays no examples of chakra shaping, which is the base for creating a rasengan. Which is then applied with elemental chakra, which is what creates a variation of rasengan, and then is shaped further to create the final and ultimate rasengan.

Kakkashi stated no one had done this, including the Fourth Hokage. Why would he not just say that he had created the next step?

* Sigh * I know the Chidori isn't the lightning varient of the Rasengan, just look at the jutsu's anatomy. What I meant to say was that as far as the Rp goes, the Chidori is equal to a lightning variant of the rasengan. And either way, creating an elemental rasengan would take years ( 30 - 50 ) said by kakashi, the only reason Naruto could do it was because of the shadow clones.

Chidori is merely a counterbalance to the rasengan. For role playing purposes, we all know that the mods aren't expecting a thirty year development. Provided you give a fair rank and drawback, much like the rasenshuriken, they'll let it fly. The fact is that no one bothers to think of other variations.

I know Reign of Fear had made on. He made a rasengan at the end of his blade and when he swung, it made miniature version that buried themselves in the cut. It was horrifying to watch.

That reminds me of that ridiculous series of weapons in one of the Armored Core games that made explosions on contact.

Laser make its mark? Explosion.

Sword make full contact? Explosion.
