Sirius kissed him softly. "And you deserve more than that b*****d father of yours." He chuckled quietly. "We'll always be here for each other, right?"

Remus looked at the time. "actually I have to get to prefect's duty." He kissed Sirius and stood up. "I'll see you later."

Sirius stood with him and kissed him once more. "I'll see you later. I love you, Remus. And don't be late to dinner," he added sternly.

(Nope. That's part of why James has such a hard time getting close to her in the books.)
Sirius grinned and shook his head as he watched Remus leave.
"Do my eyes deceive me? Remus Lupin is actually early," Lily teased as Remus walked up. "Ready for duty, my fellow partner in crime?"

"Hey I'm always early to class. It's just Sirius or James have me tied up doing something when I'm supose to come for prefect's duty." Remus smiled. "Yep let's go."

Lily stiffened slightly, then relaxed, sighing. "He's a jerk who plays pranks on undeserving people and thinks he's Mr. Hot Shot just because he happens to be a star quidditch player... but," she added before Remus could interject, "I've also seen the way he sticks up for his friends. He can be quite noble when he wants to be. And he's a shameless, flattering flirt." Lily giggled, a slight blush dusting her cheeks.

"You know the pranks will probably stop once we're out of school and his head eflates with age. You should have seen how happy he was earlier that you talked to him. I'm sure he'd be even happier if you joined us for dinner tonight." Remus smiled. He couldn't help but try and help out his friend.
