εviε Ranon nodded at the pair and he too released Iago, his hands returned to his sides.
"Actually, I think I'd like to spend the night here..." Evie chimed in, still standing closely beside Iago.

"Then it's settled. We'll stay the night." Iago said, smiling at Evie, then looking at Ranon, waiting for him to lead the way to their room.

εviε Ranon smiled and started walking off, he walked slowly and silently so he could hear their footsteps behind him, making sure they were going to follow. When he heard their steps, he smiled and walked a little quicker up to the guest's quarters.
Evie laced fingers with Iago and walked along behind Ranon. She was happy that things were starting to fall into place on a positive note. She was starting to get sick of negative things happening. As long as she was with Iago however, things weren't really that bad. The girl leaned over slightly to kiss Iago quickly on the cheek. Things were looking up.

Iago smiled brightly at his Evie, returning her kiss to the cheek. "I'll have to duck out for just a quick minute once we see the room." he said. He had seen a jewellers outside when they arrived, and wanted to stop to get Evie's necklace repaired...as well as buy a ring for her, should Ranon be able to help. But he wanted it to be a secret, until he got back.

εviε Evie wondered what Iago was up to. Ducking out for a minute? Hm, that was strange but she let it slide.
"Alright...I'll just...occupy my time then." Evie winked.
Ranon climbed a few flights of stairs and frowned. It had been such a long time since they'd had guests.
"If we get lost...I apologize." He chuckled.

Iago smiled. "Don't worry. It won't take more than a few minutes." he said truthfully. To assure her that he wasn't going out to do anything bad, he leaned over and gave her a tender kiss on the cheek, then looked at Ranon.
"No worries at all." he said.

εviε Ranon chuckled and finally found the way to the guest's quarters. He would have to draw himself up a map for the next time....that was rather embarrassing. When Ranon opened up the doors, he was glad to find that it was still nicely made up with a high ceiling. There was a large window that allowed light to shine through, the heavy curtains drawn back. The color scheme was reds and golds...it looked like fire wen the sun hit them. There was a large four-poster bed in the room and a oval shaped rug made of some sort of fur in the center. A large oak armoire found its place in the room and a bathroom led off elsewhere.
"I hope it's to your liking. It's been ages since I've last had guests here." Ranon chuckled.
Evie took the room in with wide eyes. It was a beautifully made room and she couldn't have hoped for anything better. She left Iago's side and sat down on the edge of the bed hard. To her delight, she bounced back up with just as much force as she had thrown against it. If ever she felt like a Princess, it was in that guest room.
"It's beautiful Ranon." Evie beamed.

"It is nice." Iago admitted, looking around. Very ornate, for just a guest room. Not to say that guests deserved little, but this was a room fit for royalty.
He smiled and walked over to his Evie, sitting next to her. "A room fit for my Princess." he said with a bright smile.

εviε Ranon was pleased to hear that his guests liked their accommodations and so he allowed himself a breath. He was ecstatic that Evie found it beautiful, had he known that she was coming however...he might have cleaned it up a bit more or at least somehow make it more comforting for her. No matter, things seemed to go well.
"That is good to hear by far. You guys may relax but Evie," Ranon began. "I'm sure the King and Queen would be happy to see that you're here, you should say hello when you've been settled." He smiled.
Evie nodded her head in agreement. She had been wanting to go see them and say hello since they'd gotten into the kingdom. They were all nice, inviting people and that made her feel at ease being with them.
"Of course....I wouldn't have it any other way." She smiled and felt a blush creep up into her cheeks at Iago's comment.
"I'm not a Princess." She bit her lip to keep from smiling.

Iago laughed softly, kissing her on the cheek. "You're my Princess." he said with a smile, looking up at Ranon. "Thanks for any help you can give us. I'll let Evie go and meet the King and Queen while I go run some errands in town, if that's alright?" he looked at Evie when he asked the question.

εviε Evie smiled and kissed Iago back on the cheek but found it unsuitable. She turned his head gently towards her and she kissed him full on the lips for a moment...and it was definitely better. When she broke apart, she felt her cheeks warm up a bit more as her blush took on a rosy color.
"Okay...your Princess then." Evie smiled.
Ranon looked away when Evie kissed Iago, giving them a little bit of privacy before they broke apart.
"Right, while you run your errands, I'll take her to the King and Queen to get things sorted."

Iago smiled at the kiss she gave him on his lips. He'd love to have some private time later...that rug on the floor looked like it would be a comfortable place to cuddle later.
"I'll see you soon, my love." he said softly, heading past Ranon. Unlike him, Iago had memorized the route to the door and back.

εviε Evie smiled and waited until Iago had left before turning to Ranon. She smiled at him as well and held out her hand to him. Like years before, she would hold her hand out and he would take it and take her to the King and Queen...much like he did now.
Ranon smiled and stepped forward, taking Evie's hand and leading her out of the room and towards his mother and father's chamber. They were still there if they hadn't been called to do anything. He still wondered how soon it would be until Iago and Evie would marry bu the would ask that later. When he found his way to his parent's chambers, he opened the door and peeked in.
"I have a visitor." Ranon smiled.
The King and Queen looked to their son and frowned, wondering what he was up to. When a familiar girl showed up in the doorway, they both got up and smiled brightly. Evie was back again. There was a lot of hugging and kissing on the cheek...there hadn't been this much love in a long time.
Evie stepped back from all the arms and smiled, blushing.
"I want to get married...to Iago. And I need your help to do it. In his kingdom, I must be royal to marry him." Evie frowned. They seemed to understand what she was asking for and assured her they would do whatever they could to help her out.

Iago slipped out of the castle, heading over to the jewellery store he had seen earlier. He stepped inside and smiled at the old man behind the counter...despite his age, Iago could see a gleam in his eyes that told him they were as sharp as ever.
He took the necklace from his pocket and explained his position to the man. The man nodded, either ignoring or not recognizing the symbol on the necklace, and went to get a length of gold chain to fix it. In the meantime, he shopped around for a ring for Evie, finally deciding on one. It was gold, with a twisting vine motif etched in to it. The ruby at the top was surrounded by small golden leaves, and the ruby itself was carved to resemble a rose.
Iago marvelled at the craftsmanship, at how something that small could be carved that intricately. He walked up to the counter, and payed for both the repair of the necklace, and the ring, and started back for the castle.

εviε Evie smiled and enjoyed talking to the King and Queen again and they told her that they would try their best to get a message out to the Royal family back in Iago's kingdom to try and get her established as royalty. With a smile, Evie kissed both parents on either cheek.
"You've no idea how much I appreciate this...thank you so much." Evie felt as if she was going to cry. She yawned after a moment, she was feeling rather tired.
Ranon noticed her yawn and excused both Evie as well as himself to go back to her guest room. The pair walked in silence, the male looked sideways at Evie every once and awhile, he had missed her after all.
"You may sleep if you'd like...Iago should be back soon but you seem tired." Ranon told her, rather concerned.
Evie smiled and said nothing in fear that she would yawn again.
"Maybe I'll just rest my eyes until Iago gets back." Evie smiled and returned back to her room. The girl laid out on the bed and curled into a small ball in the center. The bed was so plush...so comfortable. It didn't take long for her to drift off into a semi-sleep state.
