well great news, my friend who was waiting for a liver finally had her surgery on august 27, everything went well she's out of ICU and in a regular hospital room. I went to lexington today to visit her and she looks so much better than she did before her surgery. thanks again to everyone who said prayers and good wishes dreamer

I sorta know how that feels, Lil Brat. I like to reflect these changes in my avatar. For instance, the Gaia-me is currently blackened and toasty.
This is because I've been unemployed for three months. Which is kind of what I expected when I left my last job, but I was hoping to get lucky.
We'll see how this week turns out.

Hey Harbone, check out my profile page and look above your avatar, I added what I'm referring to in your case as a 'rant' balloon...that is not meant as a criticism, it's meant more complimentary...still didn't come out right but I hope you get the jest (sp?) of what I'm trying to say....I hope cause hopping around on one foot (with other in mouth) makes my leg tired...lol.

Wow, it's been a while since I've been on and it seems so much has been happening with everyone. I've been overwhelmed at school with the usually BS, politics, and projects which has kept me away for a while. Thank goodness we are on Fall Intercession Break which gives me time to catch up on what's happening with everyone and spend some time on Gaia.
Harbone I'm sorry you haven't found a job yet... the market is so slow this time of year but don't give up.
Dreamer, I'm glad your friend is doing well. I had a mate from my college days go through a liver transplant 10 years ago and he is still doing quite well. It is truly remarkable how much medicine has changed through all the years giving so many people a second chance at life.

Hey.... I'm back!!! Did anyone miss me and Mal??? We moved into our new house and we just got the internet hooked up today!
We still have a lot to do and Mal has to head back to work today, but being on the road he does get signals so he can still get online.
