LMAO! no, no hon, you gotta pull his name. Though I do not Remember BOOTHBY liking Tea, you go tthe Gardener part correct, he was teh Groundskeeper for The Academy, and was one of teh Wisest people there, imparting much needed Wisdom to many of the Cadets there. 3nodding

And since this Question was posted 11 days ago, I'm pulling it, if Ms. Rose doesn't get credit. wink

I'll take it as the closest correct answer.

Jean-Luc Picard considered Boothby the groundskeeper to be the
wisest member of the Academy staff.

Boothby was played by Ray Walston. It is perhaps appropriate for
him to have a role SOMEWHERE in Star Trek, since he was most
famous for "My Favorite Martian".

Boothby claimed (in "the First Duty") that Picard first caught his
attention by being the first freshman-cadet to win the Academy
run/marathon.

NEW question!
===

This is an Original Series question.

Q was inspired by a character from the original series.

Who was it, and what's the name of his planet?

Question, prepare to be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Early in the original series, Kirk and crew encountered Trelayne,
the Squire of Gothos.
This being and his mirror had Q-like power levels and little maturity.

I thought the book-fans would remember this more easily.
the book "Q-Squared", I think it was, said Trelayne was actually
an adolescent member of the Q Continuum.

This is NextGen.

According to Guinan,
which Enterprise crewmember "died" a senseless death,
and what was the cause of death?

This is Next-Gen era.

Guinan was the only REGULAR character from her planet.

A) Who else was from Guinan's race? (Who else did we meet and
name, that is. Lots of people were from there, of course...)

B) Why won't Guinan visit her homeworld ever again?

Tash Yarr. She was killed by Armis, a Shelliak, as a display of power.

CORRECT!

In "Yesterday's Enterprise", the Enterprise-C episode,
the alternate Guinan said that about Tasha Yar,
who was killed by Armus, Skin of Evil as a casual display of
his power. (And to show that he was eeeee-villlll.)

However,
Armus was NOT a Sheliak.
He did bear a slight resemblance to the Sheliak when he went
into his "standing up" mode.

NEW question!

This is also a NextGen question.

In one of my personal favourite episodes,
Picard matched wits with a captain of a ship from the Sheliak Corporate.

There was a dispute over settlers on a planet.

A) How were the stubborn settlers convinced to leave,
and who convinced them?

B) How did Picard outwit the Sheliak captain?

C)
Riker: "You enjoyed that!"
Picard: "You're damned RIGHT!"

What was it Picard enjoyed so much, and why?

xd

Sorry for not being around. I forgot to check this thread redface

About this question, I'm only sure of the answer to A. But since it was asked some time ago, I'll answer:

A) Soran is an El-Aurean too.
B) Was it destroy? I remember about lots of people from there escaping in ships, but I don't remember why.

CORRECT!

A) Soren was the easiest other El-Aurian to remember.
He was played by Malcolm Mac Dowell, and was a main character
in "Star Trek: Generations."
There was also one who showed up in Deep Space 9.
Martus, the guy who made the other casino on DS 9 with the luck
machines.

B) I believe it was "Best of Both Worlds I" where Picard tours the
Enterprise before they battle the Borg, and discusses with Guinan what
happens if they LOSE the battle. Guinan mentions that the Borg
destroyed her homeworld.

NEW question!

This is from Deep Space 9.

The Jem'Hadar serve the Founders with fanatical loyalty.

There are two important reasons they do so. What are they?

I'd rather you answer the Sheliak question first,
but go ahead.
