Not true, a vampire doesn't gaurentee you'll be a charming attractive person, if you looked like the arse end of a elephant before, you will after your embrace. If you had all the charm of a swarm of angry bee's before, you will after the embrace.

So far, we have about 120 more vampires here than humans.

You see, this is the problem, sure I chose to be a vampire, but I'm working on several base rules.

Number 1. Don't turn people willy nilly because I think they'd be a good lay.

Number 2. Have a bunch of mortal friends, who will watch me and keep me safe during the day.

Number 3. Don't draw attention to myself, all you have to do is seduce a half drunk chick, start necking her, feed a bit, clean the wound and it won't look like anything more then a hicky and you probably have someone you can keep feeding off.

Number 4. I'd never, ever become the Anne Rice 'wangstpire' (Whiney Angst ridden Vampie) mainly because I don't have real problems in life, so why would I have any in undeath?

Human. I just don't see any advantages about being a vampire... having to be stuck on this crappy world for centuries doesn't seem that great to me.

I would like to be a vampire for many reasons.

1. I'd be really fast and stealthy and strong without looking it.

2. As others said you could view civilisation over time. I want to live long enough to see space-battle-ships.

3. Young for longer

4. it would give opportunities to persist in endeavors

that is why i would like to be a vampire

also, I think the garlic is a myth within a larger myth
perhaps only some vampires are allergic like humans.
