My best friend and I both love Yaoi, though my parents not so much. They are both very christsian so if they knew how much I liked it man would I be in deep s**t.

I don't hide my interests but I don't exactly go to work in my I ♥ YAOI shirt either. I don't feel comfortable talking about myself, I never have. If people ask a direct question I'll answer it, albeit vaguely, but I don't offer that sort of information freely or at random. I'm an asexual pagan goth who has multiple romantic friendships instead of a relationship and loves nothing more than homosexual romance, I'm sure you can imagine why I usually get bad reactions when I do talk about myself. neutral I've learnt it's better to just keep my mouth shut and be thankful for what acceptance I do get from the bulk of our nation.

Well abot 90% of my friends know I love yaoi and most of them either like it themselves or can at least tolerate it. I'm not so sure about my parents. I really don't think they would care because they are pro-gay rights. As long as I'm not meeting people over the internet or something the would probably be pretty open and accepting of it.

But I'm too nervous to come right out and tell them. I'm waiting for the right moment.

Only a couple of my friends know that I like it and when I said I like yaoi their reaction was, ''wtf is yaoi?'' Then I tell them and their all. D: And I'm all ^^;..... yup.

Friends? Nah. Most of them love it as well.
Family? I couldn't even tell them, they're all homophobes! D= I mean, they know I support it, seeing as I did the day of silence..but as an addiction? I don't think I'll be telling them for a while. XDD!
My 6th grade brother saw a shounen-ai pic, of Gaara with Naruto, and he thought I was insane. "Why would a guy be kissing a guy?" Haha, his exact words. I just shrugged and went to my next picture in my photobucket. Ha. I have to learn to sort pictures better..

I am More open to my love for yaoi and shounen ai now, though not everyone knows, my friends know and they find Yaoi hilarious, but it kinda scares them, some are starting to get into it though xd
my family doesn't know exept for my older brother but he doesn't seem to mind it much, he also thinks it's funny, plus he enjoys yuri here and there, I don't know if I'll ever tell my mom, she'd probably think it's wrong and get angry or something, so I guess I'll wait for a while until she can't do anything about it.
Not many people would think that I like Yaoi, because they don't see me as that kind of person but I guess if some found out there image of who I am would be ruined, I don't really care if there image of the person I am is ruined but I also don't know how to tell them.

Well, my mom's pretty anti-gay, and my dad freaked out about Talladega Knights(that's not even gay... sweatdrop ); so my parents don't know. Although, I keep making gay couples on the sims, and my dad just happened to see this guy bring his husband back to life;(long story) and I was all, "woo! He brought him back!". Then my dad was all,"you mean her." Sooo....yay gender confusion! it'd be funny to tell him; just to see his reaction.

But my friends.... Well, I'm very open about it outside of my family! Their reactions vary from burning_eyes Aaah! my eyes! to ninja Got any more? I've converted a few of them. xd seriously,I even let them borrow my stash of BL manga. -_- They say I'm the girl who always brings porn to school.(Me: Most of its not porn! scream )

...And pretty much anyone who's seen my sketchbooks. whee It's always funny to see what they say!

I think my parents have a VAGUE inkling about my BL/slash obsession... I say vague because my mom has read my work (and thinks it cute how Clifford is so oblivious to Augy's feelings, whereas I find it annoying), and my dad walked in on me reading "Rainbow Boys" about a month ago - man, his reaction was interesting.
Dad: *reads a couple lines* They're talking about a guy?
Me: >///> Yup...
Dad: ... and they're both guys?

Dad: ... Ah, I'll leave you to that then *walks out, looking flustered*

My close friends, though, are practically all over it - however, only in my work. They're not particularly fond of it elsewhere, especially when I try to convince one of them that Draco/Harry and Sirius/Remus are totally meant to be!

Every single one of my friends know about my love for yaoi, and whenever I make a new friend I usually make a point of letting them know about it. I figure, if you're going to be close-minded enough to not want to be friends with me for liking yaoi, then I don't want you as a friend. Most of them love it too, but a couple of them don't really enjoy it themselves but have no problem with it, and I respect that.

I was considering telling my Mom about it too, but I recently found out that she is a raging homophobic who, and I quote, "Isn't going to waste anymore money on those gay movies you keep renting from the video store, which don't do anything but pervert your mind." I almost laughed when she said that, because I realized all the money she has unknowingly spend on yaoi manga in the past years. xd My little sister knows about it, and even enjoys some of the tamer stuff like Gravitation. I have no idea how my Dad would react, except that I know it probably wouldn't be good, and my brother is too young to really care about anything of the sort. 3nodding

Kinda. I tell all my friends about it, and sometimes I have to struggle not to laugh at the look on their faces... 3 are fine with it, one's bi, one's lesbian, and the other one's straight... I think...

I've hinted that I like yaoi to my mum... a few years a go I remember reading a beastiality fic on AFF.net [*cough* Yesh, not even legal yet... ^^;] and I kept it on while I went to bed. I woke up and my mum told me some stuff, but the memories faded and stuff... Though when I bought Yellow Vol. 1 with the "PARENTAL ADVISORY" label on it, she and her partner asked what is and I just "gay guys and stuff..."

Yeah, I'm sure they're okay with it. They're not Christian... yeah...

My family members that only know that I love Yaoi is my brothers. It disturbs them but they accept it as they do with the other riduliocus things.
